Actor Ankit Gupta who is gaining popularity through his portrayal of the character of Parth in Channel V’s Sadda Haq talks about his equation with the co-stars; his views on doing a youth based show and much more.

Channel V’s Sadda Haq which is riding high on the TRP charts is not only being appreciated for its unique concept but also the actors of the show are being loved by the audiences too. One such actor is Ankita Gupta who plays the simple and supportive character of Parth in the show, speaks about how he bagged the show, what struggles he had to face while pursuing his dream into acting and much more…

Here is Ankit talking about the same.

Tell us something about yourself?

I am born and brought up in Meerut. After I completed my studies I did modeling for quite some time. Then to earn money I shifted to Noida and started working in a call center. While I was modeling for the Elite modeling Agency I had created a folio and thought of going for an audition for the Ibibio – I Hunk event and I was lucky to get selected from 80,000 people. Then finally I moved to Mumbai to pursue my dreams for acting.

What are your views on doing a youth based show?

It feels great as it is very connecting with today’s youth. I never wanted to do a typical saas-bahu drama and always wanted to do something challenging and interesting. In the show Sadda Haq, I play a guitar and also do other different things. As Parth who is seen sincere and studious in college, in real I have never been so college fanatic as I never went to college and looked forward to work in Call center.

How did you bag the show Sadda Haq?

I auditioned for the show Sadda Haq and I was very keen to do a show on Channel V as the creation of the show was very unique and interesting. After 2-3 months I got a confirmation call to play the character of Parth in the show.

With whom do you get along very well on the sets of the show? Who is your best friend?

I get along with everyone on the sets and Param Singh, Harshita Gaur are all my friends. We share the same room so we chat and spend time with each other. Also Harshita is mostly in our room so we bond well and also do time pass with each other.

What do you do when you get free time on the set of Sadda Haq?

We generally do not get so much time on the sets so I watch movies, work out and most of the time I sleep because of our erratic schedule we end up sleeping inadequately so I love sleeping for 24 hours.

How do you feel receiving so much of love from the fans?

I feel really great and have never expected that fans would shower so much of love on me and also for the character of Parth. I am really grateful to the team of Sadda Haq and also the people associated to the show.

How has been your experience working with Param and Harshita since the Monaco Ad to now where you are working with the two in Sadda Haq?

It was great for the Monaco Ad as well and it’s just a coincidence that we three share great chemistry in the show and it’s a great sign working together.

Who are you closest on the sets of Sadda Haq?

I am closest to all the people on the sets of the show. Since Snyukta and I chill in the same room, we share our tiffin as well with each other and sometimes also joke around to make the mood lively.

What are struggles did you go through to get where you are today? And how does it feel now?

I never faced struggle as such but yes whatever I have learn’t during my journey it has been a learning experience for me. After realizing mistakes I have really worked hard and after spending 2 years in Mumbai, I am finally working in Sadda Haq.

How do you feel for the huge response for the character of Parth? How is your real life equation with the other members of Sadda Haq?

I am really happy that people have accepted me as Parth and my equation is very great with all my co-stars. I know everybody is eager to know about our equation and they tend to ask us these questions out of their curiosity but our equation is very much healthy on the sets of Sadda Haq. I am overwhelmed with the response of the people.

Any message to the fans?

I want to say to all my fans of Sadda Haq that don’t get swayed away with the fights which are shown in the show. Our motive is just to entertain you. So stop fighting and enjoy the show.
