With her recent visit to India, this Pakistani actress in conversation with us talks about doing Indian films and show with us.

Let’s see what Mahira has shared –

What quality the shows must possess to become a hit when compared to Indian shows?

Well I have only seen one Indian show long back that was Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, so I can’t comment on that. But I believe that any show be it Pakistani or Indian, it needs a good story line. If it has a good story and the concept, then I am sure it will be a hit. It’s not only with the shows but also with the films, if the content of a film or a show is good, it will get a good response.

It has been heard that whenever you get injured while shooting, that show and film becomes successful. How true is that?

Well, its absolutely true (Laugh). I know its quite funny but when I was shooting for Humsafar for the rain sequence, I fell down so badly that I was almost dead after which the show got immense popularity and was loved by the audience a lot. I was doing a film and while shooting, I fell down thrice and that turned out to be a blockbuster film (Laugh). So people around me constantly try to know whether I have fallen during the shooting or not.

Would you like do an Indian television shows and films?

No I would not like to do an India daily soap because I have heard that the shows have a run of long years and consist of many episodes. So I can’t do that because of my personal constraint. Even in Pakistan, when I read a script which is of thirty episodes, I feel that its very long, I feel instead I can invest my time for a film. I don’t mind doing telly shows or a reality shows but not a daily soap. I don’t mind working in an Indian film, if I get an opportunity, I will definitely do it.

We wishes Mahira Khan all the best!
