Everyone is making preps for the shagun ceremony. Bhimbai takes shagun money from Ram ji but it is less than what she needs to keep. She asks for more when Bala walks in. Everyone is surprised to see him. Ram ji asks him why he has returned but Meera tells him to go easy on his son. He has returned home after months. Bala tells Manjula he is here for her wedding like they had always dreamt. She gives money to his mother. He asks about Bhima and Tulsa. Everyone goes silent. They share that Tulsa is at Ganga’s home. Anand tells him that Bhima has left home as he is not in agreement with this wedding. Bala supports Bhima’s decision. He might be the youngest one, but he is the smartest of all. Even I am not in agreement of this marriage now. I wont let it happen. Bhimbai slaps him. You can leave the house again if you don’t agree. You kids always forget that we are your parents. All decisions will be made by us and you all must obey them. Everyone leaves for the ceremony except Anand and Bala. Anand tells Bala that even he and Manjula are not in favor of this wedding but what can they do. Aayi dint listen to Bhima or Baba. Bala wonders where Bhima could be. He suddenly leaves for some place.
Dhruv argues with his father. Dhansukhlal tries to bully him but in vain. Dhruv supports Bhima and warns his father he can do anything for Bhima’s sake.
Shagun ceremony is complete. Groom’s father gives a list (of dowry) to Ram ji. Manjula and her would-be husband talk awkwardly in a corner upon the askance of elders. Bala peeks at Manjula from a distance. The wedding is fixed after 3 days!
Bala assures Manjula he will make sure this wedding gets canceled. She tells him that she is bound to get married sooner or later as she is a girl. She will also marry wherever her parents will want it to happen. Don’t say anything to Aayi. Just bring Bhima home. I only want all my brothers to be with me when I get married. Bala wonders where Bhima could be.
Ram ji gets worried as he eyes the list. It is too much. We don’t have this much money right now. Let’s postpone the wedding for some time. Bhima will also return home by then. Bhimbai refuses. You can take loan from someone. She calculates her savings. Ram ji asks her if her ego is hurt. At times, things take a different turn than planned. To be honest, even I am not in favor of this wedding. She says we only have this much money right now. You can take loan from your Seth ji. I have never told you to do it earlier but we are helpless right now. He is leaving when Bhimbai tells him to meet Police Captain. A guy tells them that Bhima is at Ganga’s place. Everyone heaves a sigh of relief. The guy leaves. Bhimbai says now we don’t have to worry about Bhima’s whereabouts. Bala says he would have been at fault if he had gone to an unknown place but he chose to be responsible and went to Ganga Didi’s house. He knew it that the news will reach you. He fulfilled his duty as a son which I could not. This is why I say that he may be the youngest but he is the smartest! It is your turn to do your dharma now. His rebellion would have been small if we were unaware of his whereabouts but now we know it. Anyone who supports Manjula’s marriage will be wrong in front of him. Bhimbai focuses on the wedding again. Ram ji leaves too.
At night, Manjula is sitting sadly in a corner. Bala is unable to sleep. He thinks of Bhima and how he had tried to stopped him from leaving the house and of Bhimbai’s decision. He wakes up Anand stealthily and takes him outside. Bala tells Anand he is going to Ganga’s house. Anand tells him against it but Bala says I will try to pacify Bhima to return home. Anand worries about the consequences but Bala tells him to make sure no one finds out about this till the time he is back. Anand nods. Bala turns and notices their father watching them.
Precap: Ram ji reads another letter from Bhima wherein he refuses to return home ever if Manjula’s marriage happens. Bhimbai cries in a corner. Bala promises Manjula that her brothers wont let this marriage happen.
