Maharaj thinks of Devdasi asking Maharaj how they will prove Ram ji guilty in Panchayat. Maharaj reasons that Panhayat will be blinded by religion. The widow girl tells Bala they cannot go anywhere during the day. I will be taken home forcibly if anyone sees me here. He agrees to go home with her at night and goes to bring something to eat.
Dhansukhlal leaves the decision on Maharaj and Panch. He should remember his punishment forever. People from Ram ji’s community second him. Bhimbai, Anand and Bhima vouch for Ram ji’s innocence. Bhima speaks of proof. He is holding Ram ji’s bag and shows it to Maharaj. This contains veggies and the pot of milk. I found it where Devdasi met Baba. Maharaj asks him what kind of a proof is it. Dhansukhlal asks him how he will prove his Baba innocent with this bag. Bhima says this will prove it. Mangesh challenges him to do it. Devdasi gets tensed. Bhima says as per my Baba, he was returning with veggies and milk and that’s also what the Devdasi told us. There should have been 2 bags at the spot then but there was only one bag there. Everyone shoots a puzzled look. Devdasi says this is my bag. Your Baba is lying. Bhima asks her what all did she buy. She looks at Maharaj who tells her to answer Bhima. Bhima asks her again. I cannot buy those veggies as I don’t have the money to buy them. Bhima shows the contents of the bag to everyone. Bhimbai is in tears. Everyone is in for a shock. Bhima says there is nothing else inside. he shows the bag to Panch who say that the list told by Ram ji is right. Bhima tells his Baba he may not be able to buy expensive veggies today but you saved their religion, dharma, God and faith from being sold today.
