Ek Mutthi Aasman 12th September 2014 Written Episode
Scene 1
Aryan comes to chowl and asks a neighbor where is kamla? Aryan says she has gone to dewan house to bring her daughter. Aryan’s mom calls him he says yeah mom I am just coming.
Scene 2
Suhana is all dressed up. She recalls herself in the bridal dress. She recalls when she was waiting for Raghav.
Suhana says who is the person I am seeing again and again. is that my past? Raghav’s car and aryan’s bike are adjacent but they don’t see each other. Raghav says I have lost kalpi twice I can’t lose her again if I don’t reach on time I won’t forgive myself.
Suhana is in agitating state. kavita comes in and takes suhana out in the wedding hall. Aryan sits with her. Aryan says sorry suhana I am late I went to the shop to bring my pajama. The wedlock starts. Everyone is happy. Pandit says stand up to make each other wear the garland. Aryan holds suhana’s hand. Aryan makes suhana wear the garland and so does she. pandit ji says now sit down for rest of the rituals. Suhana is confused. Vitthal and kamla come in and Raghav follows them.
Kalpi sees him and says Raghav, everyone is shocked. Suhana stands up, and goes to Raghav. Raghav smiles. They are both in tears. The song, ‘tum hi ho’ plays in background. Suhana closes her eyes. A lady is coming in she collides with a waiter and the sindur in her hands gets on kapli’s forehead. she touches it and recalls when in temple Raghav married her by filling sindur in her hairline. kalpi says Raghav, raghav is in tears. Kalpi hugs him, Aryan stands up in shock. kalpi looks and kamla and smiles. she goes and hugs her. Kamla says you look good. Kalpi says how are you ai. Kamla kisses her hand. Kalpi hugs vitthal and says baba, she hugs him too.
Mehta comes in on the wheelchair. Dheeraj and aman are shocked. Mehta says I gave her suhana’s face she is Kalpana Yadav. Dheeraj asked me to do all this. Suhana met an accident because of aman and died. He wanted to save aman and asked me to do this. sanjya says what is he saying suhana. he was in in comma. his mind isn’t working. You are my suhana. look at me I am your papa. These people are making you fool. Sanjay says dheeraj tell me they are lying. I will send them all from here. Dheeraj says Mehta is right. Sanjay slaps dheeraj on his face. He sits on the ground. Police arrest dheeraj and aman. Aryan is trying to console sanjay. Aryan says why are you both emotional. Pandit ji is here everything is ready. why don’t you take an advantage?
kalpi and Raghav fulfill all the wedding rituals. kamla says my kalpi got her fistful sky today.

May 13, 16:4321). Riya rushes away from the house, without knowing that Gaurie and Kalpana have followed her. She gets to the slum, and runs to her adopted mother sobbing. She asks her adopted mother to tell her the truth about her birth. the woman says she is not Riya’s biological mother, even though she raised her like her own child. She says Riya’s mum was ill & injured when she was rushed to the hospital from the ashram. She was also suffering a memory loss. But she went into premature labour and gave birth to Riya. The retired nurse tells Riya that she has no doubt that her birth mother loved her, because she cared enough to beg a stranger to look after her baby. But maybe she did not come back, because of the memory loss.
22). Kalpi and Gaurie come into the room without Riya’s notice and Gaurie says that what Riya’s adopted mother said is the truth. Gaurie hugs Riya’s mum and thanks her for looking after her daughter for many years. Both of them have a tearful reunion. Gauri invites Riya and her adopted mum to come and live with her. Riya declines and keeps her distance from Gauri. Gauri gets emotional as Riya refuses to hug her, and cries. Riya’s adopted mum asks her to give it time.
23). Prem and Riya fall more in love with each passing day. Prem gets a temporary job at Riya’s university. One day, Riya’s adopted mum falls ill and she is rushed to the hospital. Riya is notified at school and she calls Prem for help. Both of them meet at the hospital. The cost of treatment is quite high, and both of them do not have the money. Riya calls Kalpi for a loan. Kalpi explains to Gauri and Raghav, and all of them rush to the hospital. Raghav is briefed about how Gauri discovered Riya’s true identity. Raghav is excited and looking forward to meeting her. At the hospital Raghav goes to pay the bill, while Gauri and Kalpana rush to meet Riya. Both of them are shocked to see Prem holding Riya, in a warm embrace. Gauri pulls her away from Prem and questions her relationship with Prem.
24). Raghav gets to the hospital ward and sees Gauri and Riya arguing over Prem. Riya says she is in love with Prem and nothing can separate them. Raghav says Riya will never marry Prem. Riya says she does not consider them to be her family, but sees them as strangers who have loaned her money to take care of her adopted mum. She promises to pay it back with interest.
25). Sammy’s dilemma continues. He has fallen in love with Pakhi, but cannot tell if Pakhi feels the same way. Sammy gets her a lawyer, and Pakhi is released from detention, but has nowhere to go. Sammy persuades her to reconcile with Kamla, and ask for forgiveness. Kamla wants to invite her in, but Vitthal shuts the door in Pakhi’s face, and refuses to let her in. Pakhi is overcome by remorse and attempts suicide, as she is convinced that nobody wants her. Sammy rescues her in time and takes her to stay with his cousin. Sammy is now confused about how to tell Raghav that he has fallen for Pakhi. After some time, Sammy tells his mum about his feelings. She encourages him to tell the girl (not realising that Pakhi is the one Sammy has fallen in love with). Sammy pours his heart out to Pakhi, but she refuses to believe him. It takes a few weeks, before she agrees. Sammy is in a happier mood, and Raghav guesses that he has fallen in love, but Sammy refuses to tell him, who the girl is.
26). The resettlement project for the slum dwellers which is being coordinated by the international donor agency runs into a hitch. The contractor handling the project is owing his workers and they have gone on strike. A meeting is held in the slum and the community turn to Prem for help and ideas on how to move forward, as they all stand to lose their homes if the project stops. Prem suggests that the community build their homes by themselves using direct labour. Members of the community agree to be the labourers, electricians, bricklayers etc. They seek for an audience with Kalpana who is the new head of the international donor agency, and ask the agency to provide building materials, cement etc., directly for them, to build their own homes. Kalpana has a meeting with the board and this idea is approved, but the Chairman asks the community to appoint a Project Manager who would supervise the work. The community votes Prem as their new Project Manager.
27). The project is successfully completed and a high-level government delegation including a State Minister, comes to commission it and present awards to those who were in charge of the project. As the minister’s convoy of cars and security men comes into view, everyone rises up to catch a glimpse of the distinguished guests. The door opens and the first person to step out is Kalpana. Another door opens and the Minister comes out and goes to the podium. Awards are presented to Prem , Kalpana, and the community leader for their work on the project. In the audience is Kamla, Vitthal, Pakiya, Raghav, Sammy and his parents and everyone from Kamla’s community. The whole event is televised. As Kalpana receives her award, she is asked to give a speech. While she is giving her speech, Kamla is in tears and says that she never imagined her daughter would receive an award from a high-level minister, and she would be recognised by everyone in the community. Vitthal says your daughter has become a big madam and has now got a fistful of the sky.
……Now the story is will Riya finally accept Raghav and Gauri as her family? Will Prem be allowed to marry Riya? Will Neetu take advantage of the situation? Will Sammy and Raghav’s friendship be broken, because of the feelings Sammy has for Pakhi? These are all questions to be answered in Ek Mutthi Aasman Part 2!

The show went off track at the point when they allowed Pakhi to seduce Raghav. but they could still have salvaged it, after the car went off the cliff with Kalpi and Raghav in it by doing the following; (P.S This could be considered as an outline for EMA Part 2)
1). Gauri (Raghav’s mum) is overcome by grief at her son’s death, and gets Pakhi arrested for the abduction of Kalpi & herself. Part of the charges also include the fact that Pakhi drove Raghav to his death. Pakhi gets thrown into jail;
2). The police rescue Raghav & Kalpi from the wreckage, but in the hospital both of them get separated. Kalpi remains in a coma, but Raghav recovers, finally locates her in the intensive care ward and spends endless days at her bedside. He flies in specialists, but her condition remains critical. He then agrees for her to be treated abroad. An air ambulance flies her abroad.
3). With Kalpi out of the way, Raghav tries to focus again on his business. He files for divorce from Pakhi and it is granted. Unfortunately, he gets arrested by police for backlog of taxes, unpaid loans, financial irregularities & scams that were said to have been done under the name of Singhania Industries which was owned by his late father, but which Sahil Kapoor took under his control.
4). During the court proceedings, it is established that Sahil fraudulently acquired a power of attorney over Raghav’s father’s company which he used to execute the illegal financial deals. But Sahil boasts to Raghav that he will get away with it, the same way he took away the company from Raghav’s father. Raghav is incensed and vows to kill Sahil.
5). But Kamla stops him and asks him to leave vengeance to God. Instead of killing Sahil, she encourages him to ask God to execute justice for him, and judge Sahil for his crimes. Raghav goes to the temple and cries out to God. He recalls how his father died, how his mum suffered at the hands of the Kapoors and how Pakhi abducted & tied up Kalpana. At the next court hearing, there is evidence to show that at the time the taxes, unpaid loans were incurred, Raghav was NOT in control of the company, as he was in America then. During the trial some of the evil men Sahil used to get rid of Raghav’s father and perpetrate the illegal financial transactions, testify against Sahil and implicate him.
6). Neetu is given a room to live in at another slum, but she runs back to Kamla to beg her to let her live with them after Vittal threw her out. Vitthal rejects her plea. At the final hearing of the case, the judge sentences Sahil to 35 years in prison for his crimes, and acquits Raghav of all charges. The judge also orders that Sahil’s company, Kapoor Construction should be sold as a penalty, to offset the backlog of taxes that were incurred on Raghav’s late father’s company. Sahil collapses in the dock, and has a stroke on hearing the news. He is rushed to hospital. It is discovered that he is paralysed from the chest down and would be bedridden for life.
7). Sammy who has been supporting Raghav, also visits Pakhi in the cell where she has been detained, following Gauri’s complaint. Sammy’s visits become constant and he ends up falling for Pakhi. However, his feelings lead to a dilemma. Would his love for Pakhi not break his friendship with Raghav?
8). Gauri (Raghav’s mum) who has fully regained her memory, now remembers she was pregnant when she ran from Sahil’s men over 20 years ago. She was injured and taken to an ashram by Kamla and Vittal. After their departure, she went into labour and her baby girl was born prematurely. She remembers telling the nurse that the girl should be named Riya. Gauri then sets off trying to trace the hospital where she gave birth 20 years ago. She asks Kamla for help.
9). Riya the girl who Gauri gave birth to, is now a medical student on scholarship at a big university. The nurse had raised her as her own child. Riya however lives in another slum with her adopted mum, who is a retired nurse. One night, she is on her way home, she is about to be attacked by thugs, when Prem shows up to rescue her, not knowing who she is. Prem has been rejected by his rich friends who he thought would accommodate him, after he and his family were ejected from the Kapoor house. Riya out of gratitude takes him home, and introduces him to her adopted mum. They strike up a friendship, and Riya introduces him to her friends brother, who offers Prem a place to stay.
10). One day, govt officials along with a private developer decide to tear down the slum where Riya lives, in order to build a high-rise project for the rich. Everyone comes out to protest, and this time Prem leads the protest, which is a different stance from his earlier attitude, when he wanted to pull down the building where the Yadhav’s lived. The protest turns bloody and Prem is badly injured and taken to hospital.
11). Kalpana flies back into the country after she makes a full recovery. She gets married to Raghav and they move to his flat, after she refuses to live in the Kapoor house which Raghav had taken over. News of the protest attracts an international donor agency, which then decides to build alternative accommodation for people in the slum. Kalpana gets interested in the whole issue, and applies for a job at the international donor agency. On a field trip to conduct a survey of the slum dwellers, she meets Riya and her adopted mother and becomes friends with them. Meanwhile, Riya has been visiting Prem in hospital, and both of them have fallen in love. Prem’s condition does not improve, and Neetu is notified. When his condition becomes critical, Neetu and Sahil are informed & asked to come to the hospital.
12). The donor agency decides to asks wealthy companies to donate funds to the rehabilitation project, and Kalpana asks Raghav to be a donor, which he agrees. As the project continues, Kalpana’s expatriate boss at the agency resigns, and Kalpana is appointed to head the agency. She is given official accommodation and a car. Her parents are excited and happy. She is also able to get her brother a temporary job.
13). On her way home one day, Kalpana sees Riya and offers her a lift. Riya is on the way to the hospital to see Prem. Kalpi accompanies her, but does not realise that the patient Riya is visiting is Prem. As they arrive, Prem’s condition takes a turn for the worse, as his internal injuries worsen. Kalpi is shocked to see Prem in such a poor condition. The doctors starts searching for blood to revive him, so they can operate. Riya gets frantic. Sahil is given permission to visit Prem in a wheelchair, but even though he has the same blood type with Prem, he cannot donate blood to him, as he suffers from high blood pressure. Riya asks Kalpi for help. Kalpi gets tested but her blood group does not match. Neetu gets frantic and calls Kamla. Kamla & her family gets there. Vittal & Pakia (Kalpi’s brother) are tested, but they are not a match.
14). Raghav calls Kalpi to find out where she is. The phone keeps ringing without her picking it up. Then he tries Kamla. Same thing happens. He tries Kalpi’s number again, but Riya picks it up and says she is in the hospital and gives the name of the hospital. Raghav rushes out, followed by his mum. He gets to the hospital and is informed of the whole situation. Kalpi convinces him to get tested. And it is discovered that Raghav’s blood type matches Prem. But he then gets into a dilemma of whether to donate blood to Prem or not, as he remembers how Sahil killed his father and attempted to kill his mum.
15). The doctor rushes out to inform the Kamla’s family, Riya, Neetu & Sahil that Raghav’s blood matches Prem, but Raghav has not consented to donate blood. Neetu rushes to Raghav and falls at his feet begging him to save the life of her only son. Sahil too appeals for help. Raghav gives them a piece of his mind and reminds them of how Sahil killed his father and all the troubles he caused. He lets them know how ironic it is that they are begging for his help today, when they were the ones who robbed him of happiness years ago.
16). Kalpana appeals to Raghav and says she understands his pain, but he should try and help for humanity’s sake. Raghav donates 2 pints of blood and becomes very weak. The doctor says that Prem still needs an extra pint, but cannot ask Raghav to donate more. Neetu refuses and starts begging Raghav again to donate. She gets hysterical & stops Raghav from getting off the hospital bed. Gauri slaps her and asks her if she wants Raghav to die, as he is unfit to donate another pint. Kamla comes in and recalls that she once donated blood to Raghav in the past, so her blood would likely match Prem’s own, as she was a match for Raghav who had just donated blood to Prem. Tests are done and Kamla is confirmed to be a match for Prem and Raghav. Prem recovers and the Kapoors are grateful.
17. Riya tells her adopted mother that she likes Prem & would like to marry him. But Prem lacks a job and a source of income. The people of the slum where Riya lives, come to hospital to visit Prem and tell him about the new changes in their community. They also brief him about the international agency that is building new homes to resettle them. They ask Prem to be their spokesman, once he gets out of hospital. He agrees.
18. Prem who is now fully recovered leads a delegation of the slum dwellers to the international agency’s office. He is shocked to discover that Kalapana is the boss. He turns back out of shame. The slum dwellers are surprised. Riya runs after him and after much pestering, he tells Riya the whole story of his family’s interaction with Kalpana’s family. The Kapoors have fallen from grace, while the Yadhavs have made progress.
19. Pakiya (Kalpi’s brother) gets some good news. He entered for a competition, and the software he designed has won first prize and gotten the attention of a large industrial company. The company offers to pay him some money for it. He tells Raghav about it, but Raghav thinks the money is too low. He offers to negotiate on Pakiya’s behalf. He gets Pakiya a better deal, and also a job with the same company. Gauri continues her search for her daughter, and finally locates the hospital and the ashram but is unable to get adequate information about the nurse she handed her daughter to, for care.
20. Riya goes shopping one day, and stops by Kalpana’s office. Riya is wearing an antique locket on a chain which is quite beautiful. Gauri calls Kalpi on the phone and asks her to get something for her. Kalpi gets in her car and offers Riya a lift. But she tells Riya that she needs to stop by the Kapoor house to see Gaurie and Riya should come with her. They both enter the house and Kalpi introduces her. Gaurie spots the locket and turns pale. She asks Riya where she got it from. Riya says it was given to her at birth, but she has not been able to open it as the latch cant be released. Gaurie collects it and rubs the side. The locket springs open to reveal a picture of Gaurie and Raghav’s father. Riya and Gaurie stare at each other in shock, and Gaurie acknowledges Riya as her daughter. Riya refuses to believe it and runs from the house.

October 31, 08:46First of all, I don’t get it why looks are important. I got bored after first 50 comments debating Ashish’s looks. As for being old, Raghav has to be a lot older than Kalpi, he was a teenager when she was a little girl! His acting was very decent and he brought out Raghav’s charecter successfully. And though I like Asha very much, she just wasn’t fit for the role Rachna-Ashish was superb. I haven’t seen many couples like them.

Rachana and Aashish would have looked good. Why did not Raghav imagine Kalpi as he alway did. Thier love magic was not there.
Showing Rachana and Aashish together at the end would have been a great ending.
Love you Rachana and Aashish and good luck for all your future endevours.

September 13, 13:05Well said below SKF, then with Ragna together, the cvs could come up with whatever crap to destroy the couples happy married life, but together they would stand strong like a brick wall against a tornado and fight whatever Paakhi and Prem throw they way. Would have been so nice to see it continue with Rachna and Ashish together.
But I guess the makers are as shallow as some of the viewers who think dark skin is ugly and ruggedly handsome is the new ugly, oh well, good riddance to something so wonderful gone so bad, hope they learn their lesson and don’t repeat their mistake in future. May other CVs take a page out of this book and rewrite the crap they have out there because they will fail miserably just lik EMA did.

Kris I did read the comments where someone refer to Raghav as ugly and old and I know the comments about dark skin only too well for Kapli. I ignore such comments. When I read the ugly comment I nearly fell off my chair. While I was tempted to reply to it, I chose not to. I do not dignify such persons or their comments. (Neither do I dignify anyone who cannot respect all human beings who are created in the image of God). We know better than that and I know the actor knows himself better than to be ruffled by such comments. But I will say this much: Raghav/Ashish is one of the most handsome men alive. His is a distinct handsomeness. A REAL man. A manly man. Not a pretty- face, girly man, if you know what I mean. Ashish is the epitome of a real man. A truly handsome man. And such men are rare these days. I will take him any day! (Wink). I’m not into the pimple-face-teenage looking-just coming out of adolescence- men that people today call handsome. (Sheesh!!) when you want to define a real man and handsome, Ashish/ Raghav Singhannia is it!!’ Who can forget that holi episode when he walked up that stair, looking so, so drop- dead- gorgeous! EMA messed up big time, people hate on Rachna because she was dark, people hating on Ashish, “droopy eyes” are sexy, I have slightly droopy eyes and have beentold countless times how sexy my eyes are lol. don’t mean to toot my own horn, but true.
Well I must say I enjoyed Ashish and Rachna while they were on EMA till the time they killed it.
Asha Negi, is beautiful in her own way, she is pretty, but we who accustomed to Rachna, well no one can take her place for us.

Well feeling the same way too.. My hubby is quite good looking but clean shaven , so I showed him Ashish photo and told him have beard like him and so he complied my wishes..So I have a Ashish 50% look alike at home 😀 😀 😀
No doubt Ashish looks older and Rachana was much younger, somehow their match was just superb. Awesome chemistry. I too dont quite fancy the boyish kind of men. Prefer the Ashish kind.
And yes..the holi scenes were one of the best scenes. I loved the way he looked at Kalpi after Pakhi found out he was there and started calling the rest. The look he gave Kalpi was like ” you love me,miss me and waiting for me to come and I know that and challenging her to acknowledge the feeling” before descending the stairs..

Gosh…reading your comments there on Ashish makes me want to rush now to india , find him, give him a big kiss, then steal him. I don’t mind going down in history as the first woman to steal a guy. He is a real man, is drop dead handsome and is mature. He’s quite young; in his 30s I guess. And if you recall Danielle Steele, in her novels, she often has a younger woman and a mature man as the couple. I have always harbour such ideas on the perfect couple. Exactly as Raghav- kapli depicted. Well secured and mature man in love with a young, simple damsel and he takes her away to his castle. Gee…I need to stop this as I am falling more and more in love with Ashish and I just might head off to india to do what I said I was thinking of. I love the way he dresses. That is so attractive.
