Is ‘animosity amongst actors’ the main reason for the closure of Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage?

There was a lot of hype attached when Sony Entertainment Television launched the show Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage (Sphere Origins), and it was touted to do well on the TRP chart. However, the show produced by Sphere Origins turned out to be a non-starter and the ratings never came. Having said this, the show was in news only for the off-screen controversies that happened between the actors. And the buzz is that it was shut down due to the fact that a lot of personal animosity prevailed among the lead actors.

To give few examples, Rishika Mihani (Shivani) had lots of problems with her co-stars, Ashish Kapoor (Sahil), Samaira Rao (Mansi) and few others. However, Rishika Mihani rubbished the talks saying, “All these claims are baseless as the production house would have gone ahead and replaced the actor who had a problem and would not have gone all out to shut the show. After all, the production house had spent a lot of money on it.”

Rishika in fact went ahead and blamed the script for the show’s failure saying, “The original theme of the show was not executed well.”

Also Rishika who was earlier seen in Imagine’s Beend Banoongaa Ghodi Chadhunga clears the air about apparent differences with co-star Ashish saying, “When we bid adieu on the final day of shoot, he hugged me and gave me a cake. This should answer your question.”

Rumour mills were also abuzz that it was Rishika who had leaked out the personal pictures of Samaira Rao kissing her boyfriend out of professional rivalry. When we checked this fact with a source on set, the person did defend Rishika saying, “Why would any actor give so much free publicity to one more actor, even if it is treading on negativity? Also, it is impossible to lay your hands on such private pictures which are normally protected.”

Rishika on her part refused to comment on this saying, “I have had a talk with Samaira on this, and do not want to put her through hell again.”

Riddhima Tiwari who essayed the vamp Sandhya in the show, also refused to accept that animosity amongst the cast was the reason for the show to be axed, “All actors were behaving professionally. Let us face it, Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage was limping right from the beginning. Though it did manage to hold interest mid-way, the interesting tracks came only when it was breathing its last. I guess the fate of the show had been sealed by then, due to dipping ratings.” Moving on is the order of the day according to Riddhima as she states, “Daily shows become a habit as the entire unit is like a family. Before bidding the final adieu, we hug and wish each other luck only to meet again. That is TV.”

Our source stressed on the fact that, “Rishika was the most emotional when the crew bid adieu.”

Our attempts to reach Producer Sunjoy Wadhwa were in vain.

Guess with the show winding up on 11 January, all the claims and rumours can be laid to rest… What say, folks?
