Dattu goes to jungle to get wood when he gets afraid seeing a woman wearing blanket and falls down. Woman gives her dry wood and walks away while he asks her who she is and what is she doing here. He sees dry wood and thinks Sai asked him to bring similar wood. Santa checks Dwarkayami and not finding Dattu gets happy thinking he must have left even Dwarkamayi. Woman removes blanket and reveals she is Uma, she thinks if there was any problem in her love that her son wants to lead a tougher life instead of being with her mother. Sai noticing that tells Pari that Dattu cannot stay away from Uma for long, Uma needs to have patience and not break down.
Dattu returns to Dwarkamayi from jungle carrying wood and loks at his bruised palms. Sai tells Dattu that he is going for begging, Dattu should clean Darkamayi till he returns. Dattu says he came just now. Sai reminds that Pari told to take care of Dwarkamayi like own house and do household chores. Dattu reminisces bruising his elbow once and Uma worried for him applies turmeric paste on his wound. Out of flashback, he thinks his parents never forced him to work like this, but they didn’t even come to check on him while he is here, they would have come if Hari was here. He waters plant with great difficulty with his bruised hands and thinks this plant is like him, nobody cares for it like him, the both are each other’s support now, he will take care of it and once it gets well, he can meet his biological parents. He then picks mop to mop floor, feels pain and thinks of resting for sometime and then work. He falls asleep sitting and when he wakes up, he gets tensed seeing its already night and thinks Sai will get angry if he sees he didn’t clean. He then is amazed to see Dwarkamayi clean and lamps already lit. Sai returns from begging and praises Dattu for keeping Dwarkamayi clean, says he brought food and after eating it, Dattu can grind grains. Dattu thinks earlier a lady gave him wood and now someone cleaned Dwarkamayi, who must have done this.
After finishing dinner, Sai rests on cot while Dattu grinds grains and looking at dry plant says it is better than him as he has to work and it doesn’t have to. He falls asleep. Uma walks in and making him sleep grinds grains. Sai sees her. She requests Sai to not stop her from helping Dattu. Sai says she gave Dattu wood in jungle and cleaned Dwarkamayi, what is she expecting. Uma says Dattu is her son, world is running on belief, she cannot see her son suffering and Sai shouldn’t stop her from helping her son.
Kulkarni slaps Santa and says lied that Dattu left Dwarkamayi, but as per Prahlad, he is still in Dwarkamayi. He orders Santa to make sure Dattu is out of Dwarkamayi at any cost.
Dattu wakes up in the morning and seeing wheat flour thinks someone helped him last night also, who is it; then sees Sai and thinks whoever has done it, he can take care of plant well and let it grow soon. He requests plant to get well soon so that he can meet his biological parents. Sai hearing him says if he is free, he can clean floor. At night, Sai sits in meditation while Dattu waters plant and requests it to get well soon. Santa watching him breaks wood thinking of harming plant. He sees Santa wearing blanket and thinks if he was the one helping him.

Sai asks Keshav to pluck the plant. Dattu stops. Sai says it is just a plant, what Uma must be feeling seeing her son whom she bought up since childhood left her.
