Age doesn’t matter when it comes to love – Hitesh Bhardwaj

The cute and good looking Hitesh Bhardwaj is currently seen essaying the role of Vicky, the ‘bestest friend’ ever to Avanti (Sharmin Kazi) in Channel V’s Million Dollar Girl. The actor has earlier been part of shows like Suvreen Guggal and Gustakh Dil, is jumping with joy with the kind of response his show and character have been receiving from the viewers.

Shares the young lad, “This role of Vicky is a beautiful one who is emotional towards the relationships he has yet knows how to be upfront when anything goes wrong in life. He is a ‘yaaron ka yaar’ and a fun guy to be around. And of course, now with the ‘love’ track opening up, the character will see some really great changes and I am really kicked about it.”

The love track will see him professing his love to Kavya (Geetanjali Singh), Avanti’s sister. Avanti being elder to Vicky, their relationship will hit a roadblock.

“The beauty of the show is the issues it deals with. I think it is not wrong to fall in love with a person who is elder to you, for true love sees compatibility and understanding not age. Personally, I think age will never be a hindrance for me to choose my partner.”

With Hitesh doing a number of youth shows, we wondered if that’s where he finds his comfort zone. “As an actor, genre is not the criteria, but the character and show matter. Yes, it is an advantage to be in a youth show for you can be the age you are and not really ‘act’ to get it right. Actually it’s good for me, I won’t age too soon on screen (laughs).”

The actor also feels their director Iqbal (Rizvi) is the one who should be getting all the accolades of the show’s success. “I think Iqbal Sir is doing a wonderful job and he knows how a youth show should be structured. He gives us the freedom to perform and with his help we have become better performers.”

Way to go Hitesh!
