Ali Hassan to play Mahishasur in Colors’ Durga

Though Colors’ mythological saga Durga (Sagar Arts) has failed to garner the required TRPs, the production team and the channel are continuing with their efforts to bag the desired numbers.

The latest is that the show will soon see the entry of Mahishasur. The character will be played by Ali Hassan of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki fame.

As per a reliable source, Mahishasur will be seen as a demon who wants to claim all the three worlds including earth, heaven and hell. We also hear that the creatives have given this character a very different look.

Ali, who has already shot for the promos, will begin shooting in a day or two.

When contacted, Ali confirmed his entry and said, “Yes, I play a vicious and dreadful negative character. I like the heroic qualities that this character has in spite of being negative.”

Ali’s entry will air sometime next week.
