Ankita Bhargava ‘has high expectations’ from her comeback vehicle on Sony TV… Ekk Nayi Pehchaan

Ankita Bhargava who was last seen in Sony Entertainment Television’s Dekha Ek Khwaab is all set to make a comeback on TV with Jay and Kinnari Mehta’s next, Ekk Nayi Pehchaan.

Talking about the character, Ankita says, “I am playing Poonam Dhillon’s daughter Latika. She is a strong-headed business woman and a busy wife. As the story progresses, her life takes a full circle and she goes on to discover the real meaning of life.”

The actress further goes on to add, “This particular character is producer Kinnari Mehta’s favourite and it has a lot of dimensions. My producer has a lot of expectations from this one and I just hope I manage to live up to it.”

The actress wasn’t around on TV for almost two years. “I did not want to take up anything that came my way, hence I turned towards ads. The ad world gave me a lot of exposure. I got to work with the top most DOPs and directors. But I have a long list of directors I want to work with (laughs). Having said this, I am happy to be back on a TV show as I was very much waiting for this. I missed waking up at seven in the morning to go for shoots.”

Interestingly, the actress had put forth one interesting demand in front of her producer. “I bluntly went on to tell my producer that I would like to be paired opposite a tall man as I am a tall girl and would like to wear heels,” winks the actress.

The actress is also looking forward to this show being her lucky project. Why? “My previous show Dekha Ek Khwaab aired at 8:30 pm and it went on to give me recognition. Thus, I am expecting the same from Ekk Nayi Pehchaan as this show too will be aired at the same slot.”

This happens to be Ankita’s third show with Sony. And what’s more? She has already bagged a nickname, and her friends and close ones aptly call her ‘Sony kudi’…

Wish you great success, Ankita!!
