Balika Vadhu 13th December 2012 Written Update

Scene 1:
Location: Marriage venue and jaitsar haveli
While the marriage is on, jagiya is overwhelmed with sadness watching all this. mohan and megha explain every step of the PHERAS while anandi and shiv along with the other couples circle around the fire. While jagiya remembers his marriage with anandi, bhairo and sumitra too reminiesce how they had married her to their son. they are overwhelmed with emotions. Finally the pheras, finish with anandi also thinking to herself how different this marriage is than her first one, not that she understands the meaning and importance of the rituals.

After that, on panditji’s instruction, the sindoor ceremony happens. After that, The pandit pronounces them husband and wife amidst thunderous clapping. all are emotional and yet happy for her. Anandi and shiv take blessings from everybody. jagiya watching this is unable to take it any longer and walks away from the tv.

The CM comes to them to congratulate and bless them and also to thank them once again for their effort in making his dream come true. He gifts them an envelope as his gift to them. When asked to see whats inside, shiv opens to find an official letter, he reads it, is happy and then goes on to give it to anandi who is happy too. She then goes on to tell everybody that the CM has given a fully equipped mechanised laboratory to their hospital for jaitsar’s welfare. She thanks him again for his generosity. The CM then takes their leave. The parents of one th fortunate girls who got married, comes upto them and thanks them for their effort due to which they were able to fill their daughter’s life with colours of happiness once again. She blesses both of them and the father too blesses them to be happy always.

The MC announces that the VIDAAI ceremony would start soon. He thanks everybody for having graced the function with their presence and retires for the day.

Hearing about vidaai, sumitra goes to dadisa and tells her about her promise to anandi to allow her to have the vidaai from the haveli. Dadisa expresses doubts due to jagiya being present in the haveli. Sumitra says she knows but wants to fulfill the promise made to anandi and therefore would make jagiay understand so that he’s nowhere around when she leaves. Dadisa tells her to go ahead and leave soon to prepare for it then. Sumitra happily comes to anandi and tells her to come home now, for her vidaai from there. anandi hears this and gets emoitonal. The screen freezes on her face.

Underlying Message: Remarriage is a way to take back the ill effects of child marriage from the lives of the unfortunate girls who have gone through it and instills in them a new energy and zeal to start their life afresh and gives a new meaning to their life.

Precap: Shiv and anandi doing the aarti at the haveli’s temple. Khajan and dadisa in front od bhago’s picture telling her that they finally fulfilled the promise made to her and she should admire how beautiful her daughter is looking today. Finally anandi with tears in her eyes, begins her ritual to leave the haveli, and go with shiv completing the VIDAAI ceremony.
