Colors’ Uttaran to go off air on 16 January

After a good long run of more than six years, Colors is all set to finally bid farewell to their popular show Uttaran (FilmFarm Productions). According to media reports the show is all set to pull its curtain down on 16 January, ending on a happy note.

The article in a national daily stated a source informing that since the show’s ratings had seen a drop in the last few months, the channel had been thinking of pulling the plug on the show for a long time. And finally they zeroed upon a date in January.

Producer of the show Rupali Guha, too confirmed the development to them stating that the team will be wind up the shoot in the first week of January.

The cast and the crew have also been informed of the same.

Uttaran reached great popularity with child actors Sparsh Khanchandani and Ishita Panchal. Post the lead Tina Dutta and Rashami Desai became household names portraying the leads Icchha and Tapasya respectively.

    I will really miss this show. Hope I get to see Akash (Mrunal) and Meethi (Tina) in another drama soon.

    I will really miss he show all. It was pleasure to watch it.a big thank you to meethi and mukta and also akash and vishnu.the last few the script wasn’t really good I hate nandini. But still I really loved the show and will really miss it.( All my favorite shows are going of the air like beintehaa and rangrasiya and lots of other stuff.)

    Will certainly miss the show and all the actors who really did so well and got us addicted to the serielBut all good things should come to an end and the story was going no where.My heartiest congrats to all the members cast and crew and specially Rupali and KalyanGuha.We eagerly look forward to their new project.Thanks for an unique experience and making us a part of such a wonderful serial.

    if it has to go, let it be… but I will never forget Uttaran. This serial has been part of my life for years and I have no words to describe the magic and joy I experienced watching it. Thank you to all actors and actresses for this wonderful journey, specially to Tina Dutta with big hope that we will watch her in next brand new and popular serial 🙂
