Did Karan Mehra throw tantrums on the set of Pavitra Rishta?

Has Karan Mehra, the good boy of Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta (Balaji Telefilms), turned a tantrum king? Well, that’s what our sources from the industry suggest.

But before jumping into any conclusion, let’s peel the banana skins one by one.

As per a reliable source, both Karan and Ankita (Lokhande, the female lead) were scheduled to visit Nagpur to attend a press conference sometime back talking about the show’s timeslot change.

However, apparently both denied taking the flight at the last moment.

Reason?

Cuts in a source: “They were unhappy with the flight and hotel arrangements and thus did not head to Nagpur.”

This is not it as recently Karan asked an assistant for story narration in his room, instead of having it done with fellow cast members on the sets.

When we texted Karan about the issues he smsed back saying: “ “hahaha sounds funny, I cant afford to throw tantrums … or else I will lose my job … (sic)”

On further probing, he shared over telephone call: “They (the production house) were giving me a 5 am flight which I would have missed as I shot late the earlier night. Hotel didn’t matter as I was to come back the same night. Talking about scripts, they are sent to my room as we are supposed to be prepared before we reach the sets. Why will it angry anyone? Plus all the directors in Pavitra Rishta have been close friends.”

We also texted Ekta Kapoor about the same and she texted back saying “rubbish”.

After a few minutes Ekta sent another text that read, “He is a professional.”

Well, there is no doubt that Karan is a thorough professional and indeed if he resorted to some tantrum tactics, then we would call it a mere aberration.

What do we think, you ask? Well, here’s what I think: You guys look for ways to make small things seem like a giant issue. How about focus on some fun stuff, like how the crew gets along well back stage or how the actors are in real life? Just my opinion.
