Dil Se Di Dua Saubhagyavati Bhava 28th September 2012 Written Update by BizzyLizzy

Sia tells Raghav with tears in her eyes how she still can’t believe all that’s happening to her now — she was once the girl who had lost her hope and her desire to live is now leading such a wonderful life with him, and this is something she is still not able to fathom. She tells him he gave her hope and a purpose; in fact, he stands to her as a synonym for life itself. Raghav tells her he isn’t as wonderful as she thinks, and then sits her down and tells her all his ‘bad stuff’: he sleeps only on the right side of the bed because the bathroom is closeby (Sia tries not to giggle), he also gets hunger pangs at night so if she finds him not in his room that late, he’d probably be in the kitchen munching something , he sings songs loudly and tunelessly in the shower, and he also has terrible dress sense so she needs to help him choose clothes. After this little litany he sees Sia gazing sappily at him and wonders loudly why, and when she doesn’t answer, asks her about her habits and the things she usually does. Sia tells him her habits are as similar to his as an apple is to an orange (okay, okay, I’m paraphrasing): she’s an early riser and does puja early too, she can’t sing badly to save her life but he can help with her singing by playing his guitar. Raghav says yes, maybe I can play the guitar in the shower and then changes the topic to assure her that he will do his best to change his habits. Sia tells him he is wonderful the way he is and he should not change. Raghav tells her that their individual lonelinesses has now become their joint togetherness (Gosh that translation sucks, the phrase sounded so much better on its own). He tells her he is lucky to have her in his life, and changing a few things abt himself is nothing compared to the joy he feels with her around. He also tells her that the light will not be switched off till she says she’s comfortable, whether that takes a few days, weeks, months or years (by this I think he means their SR will happen only when she feels like it). Sia smiles through her tears, and Raghav – apologetic – asks her to stand up with him. He tells her that as her husband he orders her to not cry anymore – jokily – and then asks how she manages to not get dehydration from all the crying she does (with a straight face!) Sia first looks like she’s going to argue, then smiles and lightly slaps his chest. They hug.

The next day, Raghav is still in bed, while Sia has gone to take a bath. She looks at the sleeping figure and smiles. She is about to reach out and wake him when she remembers him telling her that he can’t wake up before 8 in the morning. Instead, she gets ready for the day. She is about to apply sindhoor when she takes a look back at Raghav, smiles, and places the sindhoor box back without applying. She then covers R with a blanket.

Sia is now performing aarti in front of the family idols and thanking the gods for not only giving her a second chance at life but also a second chance to become a suhagan. She asks them to bless her such that she can fulfil all her responsibilities as the wife and bahu of the house. She prays that they will always be protected. Gayathri sees Sia praying, and smiling, prays. Sia turns and sees her, and calls her Ma. Gayathri tells her that she knows Sia has a lot of respect for her, but hearing Sia call her her mother made her feel immensely good. She then notices that Sia has not applied sindhoor to her maang, and Sia shyly tells Gayathri that she would like the sindhoor applied to her maang from Raghav’s hands. From this Gayathri realises that Raghav hasn’t woken up and since they have to meet the collector that day, she insists that Raghav get up a little earlier. Sia reassures Gayathri that he’ll be up and ready on time. Gayathri gets emotional and tells Sia how happy she is because this house has had every luxury and comfort, but little joy – and Sia has brought that joy into their lives and made this house a home. She bless Sia, prays for her happiness, and leaves a smiling Sia in her wake.

Komal chases Krish down the stairs, trying to get him to wear his tie. Krish doesn’t feel like going to school and objects. Komal tells him it’s late and the teacher will scold her but Krish still argues. Sia comes in with the aarti ki thaali, and Komal responds. Krish sees the laddoo ka prasad and tries to take it but Sia stops him, playfully saying that God gives prasad only to those who do their work on time, so how can she give him prasad if he’s not ready? Krish pouts and says he doesn’t want to go to school. Sia asks him if he wants to be like his chachu, Krish nods. Sia tells him that his chachu used to go to school on time, and even goes to office on time (liar liar sari on fire! ), and that his mother used to go to school on time too, that was how she became such a big doctor. She tells him if he wants to be like them, he needs to go to school on time too, and takes the tie from Komal. Sia is calling him a good boy while putting on his tie but Krish impatiently asks for the sweets. She brings the thali, asks him to aarthi uthaaro first and then take the laddoo. Krish thanks her, still calling her didi. Sia tells her she is ‘didi’ no longer, but ‘chachi’ instead. Krish innocently asks if she will scold him for calling her didi, and Komal smiles a little. Sia grins and tells her he can call her whatever he feels comfortable with. Komal gets a call at this point, and picks it with an awkward look on her face.

It’s 7.30 am, and Raghav is still sleeping. Sia tries to wake him up but Raghav doesn’t want to wake up. She tries to tempt him with prasad, but Raghav asks her to give it to him. Sia protests saying that he can’t have prasad on an unbrushed unflossed mouth. Raghav tries to turn from side to side to avoid her but she insists, and he gets out of bed. Sia tells him that he needs to apply sindoor on her maang which Raghav is all too happy to do. However, Sia insists he would bathe and then do so. He then tells her he won’t do it, but she insists. Raghav gets out of bed and looks at the clock, realising it’s 7.30. He asks her why she would wake him so early. As she gives him a towel, he pulls her to him and tells her that his sleep is precious, and Sia replies that the sindhoor on her maang is, too, and he will apply it on her maang as soon as he’s done.

Raghav comes out, ready and bathed, and Sia hands him her sindhoor dibba. Raghav applies it to her maang, and both whisper thanks to each other. She tells him she loves him, and he tells her he does, too. He then mischievously asks whether he can go back to sleep, and Sia sweetly scolds him. Ragyhav makes a Krish-style complaint of not wanting to go to work. Sia tells him if he doesn’t she will complain to his mother, at which Raghav obeys, muttering.

Sia is with Krish, who tells her that her breakfast is very tasty. Sia smiles and tells him that flattery won’t win him more laddoos. Krish tells her then that since Raghav chachu isn’t leaving for office, he’s decided not to go to school. A confused Sia goes back to the room only to find Raghav lying on the bed in his office clothes. He tells her he’s suffering from a stomachache, could she please call up his mother and tell the driver to drop Krish to school? Sia catches on to Raghav’s excuse and presents him with lots of pills, each for a different ailment. He asks her why she’s giving him medicines, and she says who knows what other diseases will develop when you go to office. In fact, if he starts having health problems in the office, she might as well let the doctor come with him too. Raghav says people are right, women do change after marriage. Sia laughs and says that it’s the men who change, and try so hard to get excuses for not going to work. She explains that he’ll need to go to work, otherwise she will be seen as a distraction. She settles on a compromise that she will bring lunch with her to his office everyday, which makes Raghav extremely happy. He goes to call Krish.

Raghav makes a last-ditch attempt to skip office, but Sia stays firm in her resolve. Raghav gets a call from the hospital just as he leaves; it’s from the doctor. He tells Raghav that Viraaj keeps insisting that he wants to meet Raghav and Jhanvi. Raghav tells him that he can’t be bothered about what Viraaj insists on and that he’s an animal, not a human being, and he wants information that will keep Viraaj away from his family. He warns them to be careful and not fall for any of Viraaj’s traps – be it money or terrorizing. Raghav thinks to himself that he cannot tell Sia anything right now, as it will unnecessarily worry her.

Viraaj throws two ward boys out of his ward, and strangulates the doctor with his own stethoscope in an attempt to get him to dial the Singh house number. He tells the doctor that he wants to meet both, and the doctor replies that they have refused to have anything to do with him at all. The doctor refuses again. Viraaj tightens the steth around the doctor’s neck, demands they call the number and steers him towards that direction. The doctor now agrees, and they get to the phone. The doctor asks for the number, and Viraaj – after a few failed tries – realises he has forgotten the number. The ward boys in the meantime sneak up on him and inject a drug into his system – after a bit of a tussle from Viraaj – turning him lethargic and unresponsive again.

Sundar is shown leading Sia into the company headquarters, where Raghav and Gayathri are standing. Gayathri is pleasantly surprised to see Sia at the company (though I’m quite sure she knows) and Raghav pretends to be clueless about why she is there. Sia reminds him that they’d agreed on her bringing lunch to office. Raghav pretends that he has eaten. Sia looks disappointed, and Gayathri looks amused. Gayathri asks Raghav why he’s teasing her, and then tells Sia that Raghav hadn’t eaten anything, and is in fact very hungry and had been waiting for her. She passes a file to Raghav, telling him to go through it and get back to her. Sia asks her whether she would like some food too, and Gayathri tells her she has really, honestly eaten and now she will leave them alone to feed each other, and leaves with a bit of an amused look on her face.

Sia tells him that she made the food with a lot of love, and he turned it into a joke. He tells her that she punished him for a lie, can he joke with her at least in return? Sia doesn’t reply, and Raghav apologizes telling her it was meant to be a joke only. He tells her she can dump her anger on him and he will fill his belly even with that; he’s that hungry. Sia smiles and relents.

Raghav asks her what she’s made, and Sia tells him to take a look. He finds nothing but some boiled potatoes, and asks her if he’s a horse. Sia tells him that this would be better for his so-called stomachache. Raghav pouts and tells her he won’t eat. Sia giggles and brings out what she’d actually made — parathas and a few veg dishes to go with it. Sia playfully tells him he’s not the only one who can pull a prank, and both eat together, each feeding the other. Sia then asks him what he thinks of the food, and Raghav asks if he should lie or tell the truth. Sia tells him he knows what the punishment for a lie would be, and he asks if there is a reward for the truth. They have a bit of an eyelock here, and Raghav tells her that the food was really good.

At this juncture an employee enters telling him that someone has called from the assylum. Raghav, behind Sia, panics and motions him to keep quiet, but it’s too late. Sia worriedly turns to Raghav and asks about this phone call, at which Raghav is forced to tell her the truth, and why he kept it from her. Sia is confident that this is some new plan Viraaj has hatched, and that they should refuse. Raghav tells her what they have to say must be important, but Sia tells him if he is insisting to meet them now, he might insist on other, more precious things later. Should they meet every demand of his?

The couple return home and enter the house, stopping at the large family photo on the wall. They recall all the times Viraaj had traumatized them (judge-mujrim scene with Krish, sex tape, V tying a noose around the necks of the Singh women, torturing Raghav, Sia being stabbed). They look at each other, and Raghav thinks to himself that they will not let Viraaj’s dark shadow fall upon their family. Sia vows to herself to never give into Viraaj’s demands. They turn to each other, and silently vow never to let any misfortune fall upon the family.

No Precap.
