Scene 1
Charu wonders where she is. She’s taken to the store room. She says no one is here. Durga prays for Charu. Sampurna says to Durga come let’s eat. I will get your food. Binoy says Sampurna gives devi food. Samapurna says I am coming, then I will make you eat. Durga says I do I feel Charu is near me. Is she in my room? She goes upstairs but Chumki has locked the door. Durga prays that she gets to reunite with Charu.

Chaur comes to the servant quarter. She looks around. She sees rasgulla. She eats them. Bholi comes to the guest room. She is about to come in. Durga hides Charu. They cry looking at each other. Bholi says who I am so tired. These plans are tiring. She eats the fruits. Durga and Charu hug each other and cry. Durga says don’t cry. Durga says let’s go to my room before someone sees you. Charu says I should hide. They come to Durga’s room. Charu says are you hungry? Durga says yes. Charu gives her rangellas. She says Chumki and Bholi live in my room. She says what? Why? Durga tells her everything that happened.

Charu says I have to clean myself of these allegations and I will make Bholi say the truth. She knows what happened with my dad only. Durga says I am with you. Charu says I am also with you. Chumki comes there. Charu hides. Chumki says you thought you would eat all rasgullas alone. Chumki looks around and says who were you talking to? Durga says. Chumki says see how I get you slapped from Binoy again. Sampurna looks for Durga. Chumki says Durga is slapping me again. Durga says she lies. She accuses me falsely. Chumki says someone did slap me? Is there a ghost here? She cries. Chumki says there is a ghost. Someone slapped me. She runs away. Durga hugs Sampurna and says thank you for trusting me. She leaves.

Chaur comes down from the closet. She says you taught Chumki a lesson. they laugh. Charu says Chumki is very clever. She will hold. Bholi says this Durga is becoming clever too now. I will get her kicked out of this house. Bholi says we have to plan something big now.
