Esha Chawla bags lead role in Channel V’s Swim Team

The promo of Endemol India’s one of a kind TV show Swim Team has already grabbed eyeballs. With young actors in sexy swimming costumes floating underwater, the promo has definitely given viewers a hint of what one can expect from this Channel V show.

Viewers have already seen Pooja Bannerjee (Hatim fame) in the promo, now we give you name of another actress who has bagged the lead in the show.

Esha Chawla, who has been part of episodes for various shows like Halla Bol, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya and Fanaah, will be seen playing the bold Pixie in the show.

Shares a source, “Esha will play Priyanka who will have a lot of discord in her family relationship. Leading to that she will go on to become a sarcastic, bold and indifferent girl. She will also rename herself Pixie.”

The character is touted to be a strong and different, a never seen before on Indian TV shows. The makers are also keeping her look and character in wraps at the moment.

We called Esha who confirmed being a part of the show but refused to divulge any more details.

As seen in the promo, the character of Umang will be played by model turned actress Ashmita Jaggi. Also Amit Gour will play the male lead as reported by us.

Swim Team will launch from 9 March at the 7pm slot.
