Format change in Zee TV’s Fear Files sees a delay; might now take place in March

Zee TV’s highly popular horror show, Fear Files was supposed to go through a format change from mid-January (2013), but the recent development is that the channel will continue with the old format at least till March.

Our readers would remember that we had earlier reported about the new format in the show being based on the hit international spooky shows X-Files and Ghost Busters.

And now, our reliable source whispers to us that the delay in format changes might have occurred due to two reasons. Firstly, the channel has changed the production house from Dreamz Images to Essel Entertainment. Secondly, it is heard that Shabbir Ahluwalia who has been roped in to essay the role of an investigator (in the supernatural investigative format) along with ace tarot card reader and actor, Munisha Khatwani did not have dates at least till end of January.

Considering all this, our source presumes that the new format might go on floor in February and will be ready for airing in March. At the moment, the creative team is leaving no stone unturned in having workshops which will help the actors to get into the groove of their respective characters.

We tried contacting the channel for a confirmation, but did not get any revert. Our attempts to get in touch with Nitin Keni, Essel Entertainment were futile.

Shabbir Ahluwalia was also unavailable to talk to us.
