Gulki Joshi REPLACED by Sreejita De on ‘Piya Rangrezz’..!

The show, ‘Piya Rangrezz’ gone through a major leap in December where the characters were revamped and new characters were introduced too.

Actress Gulki Joshi joined the show post leap as the lead character of Aaradhya. However, things seem to have taken a bitter turn as the actress has now been replaced overnight by actress, Sreejita De who is best remembered for her roles in ‘Uttaran’ and ‘Tumhi Ho Bandhu Sakha Tumhi’.

The decision of replacement left Gulki in shock. One of the prime reasons given to Gulki for the replacement was the lack of her on-screen chemistry with the male lead, Gaurav S Bajaj. The actress also mentioned that she tried to understand where she was lacking, but was dissuaded by the production house. She was also said that, if they couldn’t find a suitable replacement, they would continue with me.

However, that doesn’t seem to be the case as actress, Sreejita De has replaced Gulki.

We contacted Sreejita who confirmed saying, “Yes, I am excited to be a part of the show. I have just started shooting yesterday and it is amazing. I am co-starring Gaurav, with whom I also worked in ‘Uttaran’ so we go a long way back together. Also, there are so many co-actors I have worked with before. So, its really warm and amazing to be a part of such a show.”

On being asked about replacing Gulki and the controversy regarding it, she said, “It is really sad and disheartening if the replacement has happened in such a manner. The actor is sure to feel upset about it. However, I think, one should take it in the right manner and move on with it. I can say this easily as I have gone through such a situation myself. I was a part of ‘Uttaran’ and was then replaced. But after two and a half years I joined again. So, you never know what destiny awaits!”

She adds, “Instead of taking it up on heart, one should move on and feel there is something bigger that lies ahead. I am honoured to be stepping into the shoes of a character which has already set a benchmark. It is challenging, but I hope I do justice to it.”
