I am a very patient guy and always believe in the old maxim of ‘slow and steady wins the race’…..

Adhhvik Mahaj who plays the character of Soham in the Colors’ show Bani – Ishq Da Kalma is very happy with the response he is getting.

Talking about Soham’s character graph, the actor says, “One of the main reasons why I accepted this project was because Soham had much to offer. He is not just standing in the side like a prop. Those who have observed my character since the show started six months back would have noticed that there is a sea change in his approach. At first he was a happy- go-lucky dude, but then he becomes serious as life changes for him with his forced marriage.”

Adhhvik who before making his foray into television has done Hindi (Contract) and South films as well states, “My current project is making waves in Punjab and other parts of North India for it addresses a very rampant social evil of brides marrying NRIs (Non Resident Indians) and then getting abandoned. A lot of this happens as the girls’ parents fall into the trap of greed and the need for a good life. The only way to solve this problem is to educate people and instill right values which is not restricted to just schools and colleges. A TV show likes ours can provide folks with knowledge that will help prevent them from falling into pitfalls. TV does represent the largest platform for dissemination of information.”

In closing Adhhvik does admit though that pan India the numbers are not very great. “We have grown step by step, it is very easy to reach the pinnacle, but very difficult to maintain the numero uno status. I am a very patient guy and always believe in the old maxim of slow and steady wins the race.”
Keep up the spirit, Adhvik!!
