“I am the youngest kid on the sets of India’s Best Dramebaaz”

Ragini Khanna has become a household name with her acting and anchoring skills. Here she talks about her growing fan following…

Just two weeks old and Zee TV’s India’s Best Dramebaaz has garnered a lot of fans for itself. We spoke to Ragini Khanna who even as she was shooting for Akshay Kumar’s Punjabi film Bhajji in Problem was bubbling with excitement about her act as an anchor along with Rithwik Dhanjani in India’s Best Dramebaaz.

Ragini is excited to have a new set of fans in the form of kids and says that she is just like one of them when she is surrounded by children on the sets, “Children are un-adultered fun. All the kids on the sets of India’s Best Dramebaaz are like my buddies. One of them comes and hugs me, one of them will kiss me, they call me their girlfriend, sister, didi, ma’am. There are a lot of relationships that are being formed and it is simply beautiful. Bacchon ka pure affection milta hai and it gives me immense joy to be with them. This experience has given me a lot of freshness and I feel like a newcomer all over again” says Ragini.

She herself too is like a kid which helps her bond with them says Ragini, “Everybody on the sets tells me sabse bada bachcha main hi hoon. I am the youngest kid around and that is the reason kids gel so well with me.”

Talking about being a dramebaaz in real life too, Ragini remembers her childhood days which are enough to give the kids on the show tough competition. She reminisces, “I had a knack of wearing different clothes and changing them again and again just for fun. Every hour I would change my clothes, do my hair and prance around the house in front of the mirror. My mom would get irritated due to this habit of mine. And to make matters worse for her, my brother Amit and I along with our cousin Krushna Abhishek who stayed with us would enact scenes from films and turn the house upside down. Amit liked to watch Mahabharat which was a rage then and we would do the Draupadi vastraharan scene with Krushna too being a part of it. We were a total laugh riot and drama in full power would go on in the house when the three of us would come together.”

While Ragini is happy anchoring as of now and is over the moon about Hrithik Roshan’s tweet about liking India’s Best Dramebaaz, she wants to do more when it comes to acting, “I miss acting on Television and want to come back in a fiction show. I have not done fiction for a long time now but the offers that I have been getting are not so exciting so nothing has hooked me on to it so far. I don’t want to do a show just for being seen on air… I want to be motivated enough to go on the sets for work which is the best part of India’s Best Dramebaaz” concludes Ragini as she gets ready to interact yet again with her new set of fans.
