“I don’t follow any gym regime” Nia Sharma

Slim fit and gorgeous actress Nia Sharma, prominently known as Maanvi of Star Plus’ popular show ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain’, talks about her fitness regime and inspires us to follow a healthy diet. We got in touch with the stunning actress to know more about her fitness mantra.

What does fitness mean to you? What’s your idea of fitness?
If you talk about my fitness, I was really bad at it earlier. In fact, just to preserve my slim body, I had even stopped eating and literally kept myself starving. However, soon I realized that it’s not the right way, as it hampers my health, scalp and hair. The better way is to eat the blandest food on the earth and stay in good physical shape.

What efforts do you take to stay in shape?
I do not follow any gym regime or yoga simply because I don’t get time. The only effort I take is to keep myself away from all the dark chocolates and junk food in the world. As far as possible, I keep a distance from all the enticing food that usually tempts me. Moreover, I make it a point to eat ‘Ghar Ka Khaana’ which at times gets boring, but that’s any way better and hygienic.

Are you conscious about your food choices?
‘Ghar Ka Khaana’ is the best option and this way you can fill in your stomach and you are not even eating anything unhealthy and non-nutritious food. Also, as long as you are away from the junk, dark chocolates and rest of the other bad stuff, you can help yourself to maintain a good body and a perfect figure.

Things you do everyday to remain fit.
To be precise, I just take care of my eating habits.

What is your take on the zero figure craze among the girls?
I believe that slim is in any day. My mantra is just go slimmer day by day. The slimmer you are the sexier you look.

A celeb body you admire.
I think Shilpa Shetty has the best figure in this industry. She is so curvaceous and I just totally adore her flawless body. Apart from her, I admire all the F-TV models, as they take a lot of efforts to stay not only in shape but below the shape I feel. (Laughs)

What is your fitness secret?
For all those who say that I shouldn’t be this thin, well that’s the secret. Not everyone can gracefully carry a slim body.

      I couldn’t agree more. I cannot understand why someone would do an interview like this and then post it for others to read. And what is even more worrying is that Nia Sharma seems to be proud of herself for basically starving. You cannot be healthy by starving or eating minimally. Sure, you can be skinny, but not healthy.
