“I play a woman trapped in a man’s body”

Says actor Vishwajeet Pradhan, who will be seen in a feminine avatar in the upcoming show Ek Boond Ishq on Life OK.

Portraying a feminine character by men these days is an in thing on Indian television. Currently we see Gaurav Gera in Mrs. Pammi Pyarelal and Ali Asgar in Comedy Nights with Kapil and now it is time to see Vishwajeet Pradhan in Ek Boond Ishq. While the earlier two have a fun angle to their characters, Vishwajeet will be seen in a serious character role in his show.

The talented actor who has made his mark in films was also a big hit on television as S. S. P Bramhanand Jhakar in Maryada Lekin Kab Tak of Star Plus. He won many accolades for his role and after being away from television for a long time he is all set to make a dynamic comeback in Ek Boond Ishq on Life OK.

When we saw his look in the pic alongside we asked him about his exact role and character to which Vishwajeet replied, “I cannot reveal much as to what I am playing.” However we found out that he is playing the role of Viraf’s tayaji who is one of the elders in the family. “I really cannot say anything as of now only that I am playing the role of Kalavati in Ek boond Ishq.”

Elaborating more about the character, Vishwajeet added, “Kalavati is a woman but with a difference.

Born as a boy, Kalavati has a woman trapped in a man’s body due to which she is frustrated as it is not her fault that she is like that. Her family does not accept this and Kalavati goes through a lot but decides to do what her mind feels right. I am a woman from heart but God has given me a manly body.”

Vishwajeet who will enter the show at a later stage will surely cause make big news in the story as well as for the show. Cross-dressed as a woman, Vishwajeet will be seen wearing ghagra cholis and sarees too in the show. His hair will be shown long and he will keep it long and flowing. Ethnic jewellery will complete the look. He apparently takes 2 hours to get ready with the make-up, hair and accessories in place. After playing the character of an antagonist previously, how did Vishwajeet prepare for this role? “Donning a feminine look is quite challenging. Border Pe Jung Jitna is a big thing but waxing karana is a big thing for a man” laughs Vishwajeet.

Well, the talented actor that he is we are sure Vishwajeet’s feminine act will be surely appreciated by the viewers. Fans too must be eager to see Vishwajeet in a different avatar in the show.
