Ishaana helped me shed the image of the uneducated Komal in the viewers’ minds – Parvati Sehgal

We have seen her enchant the small screen as Komal in the Star Plus presentation Pratigya. Seen playing a loud, two-plaited, box full of make-up girl, Parvati Sehgal currently plays a subtle sophisticated young girl in Life OK’s Gustakh Dil.

Well, that is going to be a past very soon!! Our readers would remember the exclusive news being reported about her track ending.

Acknowledging the news, Parvati shared her thoughts with us, “I was in class 12 when I auditioned for Pratigya and I was selected overnight for the role of Komal. And I chose to essay Ishaana as unlike Komal, she was subtle and chick in mannerisms. That not only gave a variation to my talent but also helped me shed the image I had formed as an uneducated Komal in the viewers’ minds. Both the shows gave me a good experience and helped my career graph.”

While she chose not to disclose any information with regards to her exit in the show, we went on to ask her about her experience and the bonding she shared with her co-actors.

She added, “We are like one happy family and have lots of fun shooting. While I met Sana (Amin Sheikh) during the good old days of Pratigya, I met Vibhav (Roy) on the shoot here and share a great bonding with both of them. We have fun shooting together and even play pranks on each other. All the other co-actors, especially Meghna Malik are very supportive and cheerful.”

The versatile actress further went on to elaborate on what kind of roles she would prefer doing in future.

“I would not mind doing saas-bahu drama if the audience demands that. But I would really like to essay a character which would bring out multiple shades to its personality. It would be challenging too. While there has been a change for good by bringing in contemporary formats in shows, it is interesting to see how there is less of saas-bahu drama where women are shown only serving tea, cribbing, plotting, crying or fighting.”

Parvati, you are not only beautiful but also very talented. We wish you luck for your projects in future!!!
