Scene 1
Jalal comes to Salim, Jalal says now think that sword has more rhythm than ghungroos, I am happy that you didn’t look at ghungroos, now listen you have to focus on sword in life, Salim agrees, jalal leaves. Hamida says to jodha that your husband and my son is unique, he finds weird ways to make other understand the thing.jodha smiles.
All kids are learning Urdu, Priest are teaching them, class ends. one kid says that jalal showed marvelous act, haidar (adham’s son) says I can do that too, Salim recalls how jodha ask him to give back ghungroos to owner. Salim goes to Solider and says I wanna go out of palace, soldier says I cant let you as jalal has not allowed us. Murad says to Salim that who can stop you, you are heir, tell me where you wanna go? Salim shows ghungroos and says I wanna return it to its owner as ammi asked me to do so, one kid says these soldiers wont let us go, I think we should it to someone, he will give to it to owner, Salim says I don’t know the name of the girl who is owner, haidar says if we cant go openly then we will go sneakily, Salim says no if jalal gets to know it then he will become angry, Murad says you are going for right thing, nobody would know that you have gone out, Salim says I cant go out alone, haidar says qutub and Danial will go with you, qutub says me, no jalal will not like it, haidar says nothing will happen. Salim ask how will I go out? haidar says I have one idea. He goes to workers busy in construction of palace, he sees children with them, he calls children and says Salim has called you all to gift you, all kids get glad and goes with haidar.
Haidar has tied all the children and has taken their common clothes, Salim wears the common cloth so to not get noticed by soldiers, Salim ask what I get caught, Murad says nobody would recognize you, he puts mud on Salim’s face, haidar says don’t worry, we will handle here, Salim goes with qutub and daniyal from there.
Scene 2
haidar and Murad are happy that now jalal will get angry on Salim, adham says salim will get 4 slaps, one from jodha, one from jalal, one from ruks and one again from jodha, they laugh.
Salim goes out of palace with working labours, he is afraid but has passed the gate of palace.
Jodha comes to jalal and says Salim is missing, jalal says he must be around, jodha says no he it not in palace, jalal says where can he go, he says I will call soldiers.
Jalal is with Rahim, Rahim calls murad and haidar, jalal ask them did you see Salim, haidar says no, we didn’t see him for a while, Jalal says ok and leaves.
Jalal ask soldiers on gate, soldier says no Salim didn’t pass the gate of palace, jalal says where can he go, I have to find everywhere.
Salim is in market with Qutub and daniyal, Salim says I know jodha must be tensed in palace for me but she has asked me to return it so we will return it.
Jalal is with maan and Rahim, jalal ask maan to find them as soon as possible.
in market, Qutub says I am tired, Salim says its little away, he comes to the place where he saw Anarkali, he says to qutub and dnaiyal that I will come after returning it, he goes in.
Scene 3
Salima says to Hamida that where kids can go, Hamida says have faith.
jodha prays to kahna and says protect my child, please make him return to me. Ruks comes there and says don’t worry, he must be fine and jalal has gone to find him.
Salim comes to dancing Centre and ask for girl, man says that girls have gone as class was over. Salim comes out and says she has gone, qutub stops one man and says do you know the girl who comes here to dance, man scolds them and says you are so small and stalking girls, daniyal says shut up, don’t you know the manners to talk to prince, man says prince? did you see your face? you seem beggars, he goes from there. Salim alongwith daniyal and qutub are finding the girl in market. Salim finally finds Anarkali buying bananas, he goes to talk to her. SAli comes to Anarkali and shows her ghungroos, Anarkali says you here? Salim says I have come to return it, Anarkali says I don’t take things back, Salim says my other has asked me to do so, I have come here with much difficulty, and ghungroos are not of my use, take it, Anarkali says I don’t need it anymore as they are old, its good you took it, my mother has bought me new one, now you keep it, Salim says you don’t have manners to talk, I am jalal’s son, she says you are his son but not king, when you become king only then come, I will give you respect only then, Salim puts ghungroos in her hands and says do whatever you want, I don’t wanna talk to you, Salim comes to qutub and dnaiyal, qutub says she was scolding you, Salim says she is mad girl, lets go from here, they leave
Scene 4
Salim and other two comes outside palace, they hide behind bushes and sees soldiers going to find them, in palace jalal says kids have gone out of palace, I will go myself to find them.
outside qutub says I am hungry, Salim says I am worried that what abu will do. jalal comes outside palace and finds three kids standing there, jalal angrily looks at Salim, Salim starts crying.
jalal brings SAlim in his room, jalal sits with him, he is angry and says do you have any idea what you have done, you are heir, you will be king, you don’t know how many enemies I have, if they got to know that you are out of palace then anything could have happened, Salim says I went to return ghungroos, jalal says you wont go out from now on, without telling anyone, jodha comes there and says he doesn’t understand, how did he went out of palace without informing anyone, jalal says I have talked to him, jodha says its because of you jalal, your love have spoilt him, he should get punishment, jalal says he did mistake, I have forgiven him, he will not do from now on, jodha says no he would get punishment, what if anything could have happen, jalal says who can even look at king’s child, jodha says there are many enemies of yours, jalal says what kind of father I am who would not protect his child, jodha says you have made him stubborn, jalal says I was just making him understand, ask him, they see salim who has slept listening to their fight, jalal and jodha caresses his face, jalal says maybe he went on you but he has this habit of going out of palace in disguise, jodha says its good that nothing happened, I will give him punishment, jalal says you are caressing him and wants to give him punishment too, jodha says mothers are like that, she is in tears, jalal lovingly looks at jodha.
PRECAP- Salim tries to talk to jodha but she is not interested, jalal persuades him to talk. Haidar says to himself that jalal killed my father, I will take revenge of my father on right time from jalal.

November 01, 14:18Anybody read jehangirs biography?It says murad and daniel were sons of concubines.so murad was definitely not salimas.And Some literature says that Daniel wad Anarkalis son.Anarkali decended from slave family I don’t that royals could have relation ship with them.Daniel was brought up by Jodas mother (it says that emperor send his son to ameer as a respect for rajputs)true reason may be some other thetefor some litt consider joda as daniels mother but it is not true accoding to jehangirs biography.
And also he said out of 3 step brothers Daniel wad the handsome with good hight and fairer skin.any way both murad and daniel died during akbars life due to opiods and alcohol.
Only serviving son was Salim jodas son..he too drug addict but joda was not unlucky to see his death

The book mainly devoted for akbars bravery. And he wrote about maansing ,king bagswandas and many pthet rajputs in akbars courtin detaisbut didnt mention that his mother was a rajput princess.he says”as maansing’s aunt ,king bagawandas sister,king brahmals daughter in my fathers house(ie wife)…so it was confirmed that so called princess was married by akbar and was not a concubine.But my opinion that what he should write inside brackets wad”-ie my mother”
But he didnt.Further more in the same para he confirms hid first wife was maansing sister and bagawandas daughter.but still hide his mothers blood.may be fear of loosing throne?
He mentiond abut Ruq with great respectas well.and he gave his foster mothers name and her death.
But he call his mother only as Muz.

November 01, 14:03Jalal and Salima – A Platonic Relationship
We have been shown since the beginning that Jalal shares only a deep, mutually respectful friendship with Salima and nothing more than that and that both of them consider Salima to be the amanat of Bairam Khan rather than the wife of Jalal. (For this reason alone, the argument that Salima too was Jalal’s wife and could have a relationship with him falls flat.)
Time and again Salima has stressed that she is happy with her memories of BK and wants JJ to be together with their pure love’. She has always shown that she considers Jodha to be her younger sister.
Suddenly turning this platonic relationship on its head and conjuring a baby out of it like a magician produces a rabbit out of his hat is like punching us in the ribs without notice. I could have understood if it had been just a momentary lapse when Jalal was most in need of comfort – more emotional than physical. Even this is hard to chew because Jalal has seen worse moments in his life and has yet maintained a respectful distance from Salima. Salima too has acted the part of a friend and a counselor but never stepped beyond those limits and acted like a wife.
Once Hamida Bano had even wondered how Salima could be so free of jealousy of Jodha!
But if the relationship between Jalal and Salima continued for a number of years during which time Jalal made Jodha go through hell for no fault of hers, rampaged Chittor for no fault of the Rajvanshis, patched up with Jodha, atoned for Chittor and had Salim and Murad, then it’s very difficult to accept.
Especially for the following reasons:
1. During the separation track, Jalal slept alone in Jodha’s hojra. Neither did he seek “comfort” from Salima nor did she offer him her “support”.
2. During Ruq MC track, Jalal almost forced himself upon Salima in order to verify whether she was guilty of causing Ruq’s MC and Salima dutifully submitted to him, as he was her lawful husband, and not out of love. Jalal could not bring himself to actually touch her because he regarded her as his foster father’s widow.
3. Salima supported Jodha’s condition after the twins’ demise and understood her dilemma before the CHittor war and explained the same to Ruq.
4. When Jodha, busy looking after a baby Salim, asked Jalal if he had been to another wife, he replied earnestly that he could never do such a himakat.
In contrast esp to the last reason, there were these scenes that reiterated that Jalal was “seeing” other begums also even though he was in love with Jodha:
1. The first time Jodha confessed that she felt love for Jalal, she admitted that she knew he had to fulfill his relationships with his other wives but still she felt jealous to see him with another begum.
2. At the time of the harem elections, Jalal teasingly asked her if she would be able to arrange his “nights” with other begums.
3. During the SR, Jalal admitted he would have to fulfill his duty towards his other wives but she was like Radha to Kanha, and would always be his special love.
But nowhere did these scenes ever convey that Salima Begum was included among the other wives towards whom Jalal felt he had a duty to fulfill.
Some Questions
Why did Salima continue to have the affair with Jalal instead of trying to make him see reason and understand that both he and Jodha were equally responsible for the twins’ demise and it was wrong to pin the entire blame on Jodha alone? After all, she had that power to influence him.
Why did Jalal continue to seek comfort in a physical relationship (it could hardly have been love!) after feeling guilty that his amorous feelings had led to Hussein’s death? I would think he would be turned off physical relations for a while.
How could he continue to blame Jodha’s feelings for him when he himself had no control over his own impulses? At least Jodha had come to him out of love and he had initiated whatever had happened between them. But why was he going to Salima?
How is it possible for Jodha to accept Jalal and Salima after the way they ditched her for several years and still be on good terms with them? It’s one thing to be stuck with a good-for-nothing husband out of social compulsions, quite another to behave as if nothing had been amiss between them in all this time.
Jodha most likely knew, as we saw in earlier episodes, that Jalal continued to please his other wives. Then why did she ask him petulantly about going to another wife? After so many years of marriage, wouldn’t she have resigned herself to accepting other women in Jalal’s life?
Why did Jalal lie that he could never go to another begum?
The Relationship that was Not Intended
I think the CVs never planned to include a relationship between Jalal and Salima. It was always supposed to be platonic.
Since the Internet usually names Salima or a concubine as Murad’s mother, without any proof, they may have taken it as the truth and hoped the matter would end there and no one would ask who Murad’s mother was.
Side note: This is not true really. Murad was very much Jodha’s son. See link. Jalal and Jodha may have given him to Salima for upbringing out of respect for her and following a Mughal custom of passing on the upbringing of royal heirs to important women in the harem. Another interesting point to note here is that both Jalal and Jodha loved Murad also equally. Akbar was heartbroken to learn of Murad’s untimely and tragic death. But as per Ekta’s NR, Murad is very much the neglected child who is peeved with Jalal for showering all his attention on Salim only.
Unfortunately for the CVs, everyone seems to want to know who Murad’s mother is and why she has not been officially introduced till now when even Zilbahar has been given so much footage. They have been forced to admit that Salima must be Murad’s mother. To prove this point, they have now thought of inventing a flashback story around it.
But they cannot continue to show Salima as the chief support of Akbar. This would nullify their theme of an epic love story between Akbar and Jodha. So they have to now also invent a separation between Akbar and Salima following Murad’s birth.
Love and Polygamy
A polygamous setup is a very difficult institution to understand and portray. And to show an epic love story in such a setup requires even more research skills, historical knowledge, sensitivity, and a clear vision of the broader picture to be conveyed by the entire show rather than going episode / track wise. The CVs have messed up big time in this and have repeatedly failed to bring out the nuances of the AkDha love story in spite of Jalal’s other wives or how Akbar conducted his relations with his other wives in spite of being in love with Jodha.
We, used as we are to a monogamous society, find it hard to understand how a wife could learn to live with other wives and remain devoted to her husband. We find it equally difficult to understand that a much-married man may be in love with just one woman among his harem even though he continued to fulfill his responsibilities towards his other wives. The CVs and the director are not helping us in understanding such an institution but rather using it as per their convenience to twist the story any which way. They have no idea of how to maintain consistency in relationships and characters.

November 01, 13:25Akbar was neither a saint nor a monk. He had a harem (never mind the size) and naturally used’ it, just like most kings of that era. But, even then, many people believe that he did not have marital relations with Salima Begum, whom he only married to protect her and Rahim from the machinations of Mahamanga and her ilk after the death of Bairam Khan.
In the show, Jalal has been mostly shown to be a kind of monk who usually sleeps alone. Something inevitably happens to either make him go to Jodha or Ruq or as a result of his going to them. J This was not the case in the initial days when he used to spend most of his time with Ruqaiyya Begum.
I remember the first time Jalal was with Ruqaiyya but unable to sleep, thinking of Jodha. She had composed a poem for his to-be-born son and he was carried away by a wave of emotion by her selfless love for his baby. J
Bitter though it is, we have learnt to accept his relations with Ruq even after marriage with Jodha (though it is usually shown that he goes to Ruq on the rebound when he is angry with Jodha).

they just ruined the kid’s childhood, snatched his innocence and not to mention created a little devil….
as for murad, sibling jealousy and misunderstandings are usual things especially if someone is there to fuel it….can only hope he grows out of it
i was laughing throughout this ep….despite knowing the wreck he has for a security system and that salim is like him, jalal still believes salim can’t leave the palace undetected lolzz….

October 31, 13:16Ja is a intelligent King n smart father. He knows how to make his prince understand the important of sword as the heir of the throne. Lastly his caressing of Salim cheeks was so loving n a proud father.
Ja nurturing a enemy within who want revenge from Ja. Haider will possess the cunning MA n might of his father. He will a threat to the throne for salim. Wonder if Javeeda indirectly responsible for this poisoning n do not look innocent as she appear to be.
Ja’s stern look, controlled anger suits a King. An took him privately to correct him shows that he respect his son’s status as future king. He scold him like how a father does n defends Salim when Jo wanted to punish him. Jo is right that was mother’s love is correct the son when it’s needed. Ja is proud of her n looks lovingly at her motherly love.
Salim good young actor able to express his fear, worry very well.
In fact I kind of like seeing JJ parenting little Salim to be the future King. After all he is part of them the symbol of their. Their bonding, they share as parent & son. One scold n other persuade Salim. It was in fact beautiful JJ love’s so far in tis track. I don’t mind it as long as it tags JJ & salim together.
One thing that erks me is that in between they try to slot in Anakarli N Salim love story. When it fully bloom it is no more JJ epic love at all but their son’s love story. It is diverted. They will play a cameo role then………………
