Khamoshiyaan has to click…there is no other alternative: Sai Deodhar

We earlier published an article that Star Plus’ show Khamoshiyaan is under radar and might be pulled off air if it doesn’t score well in the TRP game.

Keeping that in mind, the makers (Trilogy Krikos and Thought Train Entertainment) decided to bring in drastic changes in the plot and make the show spicier in content.

So we decided to have a word with producer Sai Deodhar (of Thought Train) and talk more about her show, Khamoshiyaan.

On being under radar, she said, “There is no such warning. Having said that, I do agree that the initial numbers have not been too good for something was not clicking. But you need to understand that we went on air during the time when TRP data was stopped due to digitization in four metros. Hence we did not know what the audience was liking or not.We evaluated the data which has started to flow in again and came to the conclusion that the show needed a complete overhaul. Accordingly we have made the story pacier and there are many more twists and turns in each and every coming episode. The audience at 7.30 pm being woman dominated requires such kind of massy narrative.”

Here Sai admitted, “That one of the other things which might have gone wrong was the fact that at the very start we opened too many tracks and may be the audience got lost in the process. We have now made the story crispier with limited tracks.”

Sai who had first come on the TV scene with Saara Akash is hopeful that the above mentioned changes will show positive results in the coming weeks. “The best part of TV is that it gives you a second chance to make things better. We have had many cases wherein shows have taken off after a slow start. We have to click, there is no alternative as too many people’s hopes and dreams are riding on this Marathi family backdrop show.”

Sai also denied reports that she is unhappy with Mohit Sehgal’s (Siddharth) chemistry with Mrunal Thakur (Gauri).

“We have a huge romantic love triangle with Garv (Manit Joura) planned in the near future. This rumour might have spread due to the fact that we had not shown him since a while as he wanted a break for New Year, but is now back,” ended Sai.

We just hope that Khamoshiyaan rocks in the coming days!!!

Who is she kidding? Telly viewers nowadays are not as dumb as they used to be a decade back.

The show was a non starter from the day one.It would have been more crispier if AS was seen to have extra marital relations with Asavari.
