Laaptaganj is like a second home for me: Sucheta Khanna

The pretty actress Sucheta Khanna who plays Indumati in SAB TV’s popular show Lapataganj Ek Baar Phir enjoys being a part of the show, her character and the fan encounters she has. In an exclusive chat with us, she shares more about her life at Laaptaganj and about the recent funny fan encounter she had.

Talking about her character, Sucheta told us, “I love the character of Indumati and it is one of the most successful roles of my career. I have got a lot of recognition through this character and I owe a lot to the show. We have done lots of stories for the show and each story has been very memorable for us.”

Sucheta holds a good number of fan following and she comes across many crazy fan encounters from time to time. Talking about the recent funniest encounter she had, she said, “One guy recently messaged me on Facebook that he wants to marry me. It was very embarrassing and I didn’t react over it (laughs).”

The sets of Laaptaganj is not only just a workplace for Sucheta but it’s like a second home for her and all her colleagues are like her family members. Speaking on the same, she said, “My co-actor Rohitashv Gaur is a lovely co-actor and we are good friends. We all share a wonderful bonding with everyone on the sets and we are like a family. When you shoot for 12 hours a day for around 25 days a month then it becomes a second home for you. We go home and sleep so all the good things and the problems of our lives emerge and get solved here only.”

So, does Sucheta enjoy being a part of a comedy show? She reverts, “I just fell into the comedy slot and it’s been my genre so I am loving it. The best part that I like about the character of Indumati is that she keeps dominating her husband.”
