He is reminded of his need to be dependent on someone everytime even though he tries to be independent of it.. He sharpens his other senses to guide himself through the palace to understand things inspite of being unable to see it… He conducts himself as a future king who is not in anyway inadequate…He is not unfortunate but the fortunate one who would ascend the throne and be the ruler of a great empire …

(His wife had failed to see him as an equal to her…She had a long way to go before she could be his ardhangini.. She had to overcome her own disadvantages to be able to function normally before holding his hand in understanding)

Dhritarashtra wants her to remove the covering from her eyes….She is unable to do so as she had taken a vow and breaking it would be sacrilegious… If her husband as an emperor commanded her to do so .. she would but then the price would be her life….

Bheeshma is worried that Dhritarashtra is not a worthy candidate for the job and he might not want Vidur as an advisor once he becomes the king…He goes further to state that Dhritarashtra is perturbed by his blindness and sees being king as an opportunity to compensate for this weakness..

Satyavati has a solution to it also.. she wants the appointment of Pandu and Vidur to happen before the crowing of Dhritarashtra as a king…She believes it is necessary to crown the eldest kuru prince as the king to avoid any future discord for the empire.. She urges Bheeshma to pay heed to her advise…

Vidur meets Bheeshma and wants to pass up the job of being the prime minister…He doesnot want to enter into a conflict between his love for his kith and kin and his job…

Somereason I am not liking the new Mahabharat it seems like everyone has their own ulterior motive unlike the old Mahabharat where Dhritarashtra/Savitri were humble people.
I do love the set and glamor of clothing designs and all of it but loved the original Mahabharat by BR Chopra….

In my opinion, the new Mahabharat is emphasizing more on emotions and its impact on actions but in old Mahabharat it emphasized more on cause and effect of a persons actions.
