Punar Vivah 16th May 2013 Written Episode
Scene 1:
Location: Yash’s residence
Yash and arti get in to a romantic embrace, and share a romantic dance.
The next morning, Suraj tells the family, at the breakfast table, about a marriage invitation, of the people who have bought their house in bhopal, insisting them to come. Arti comments as to how they got a chance to be back in Bhopal so soon, and they were missing too. Suraj decides on the arrangements, and tells pari and prateikAs suraj begins to talk to yash, arti stops him, saying that aysh is very busy, and teases him saying that they should leave yash here only, for the work, as mumbai cant function without him and go themselves. all are amused hearing this. Yash says that he can spare two days atleast. Vidhi teases arti that he wont let her go. Prateik and pankaj too remind him of his important meetings this week. Arti teases him regarding the same in whispers. Yash says that we shall see who misses whom more, he and she.
In their room, arti and yash, looking at the wedding car, reminisce their own times, how their relationship had started. She tells him that he didnt like him at all, and considered him a snob, and didnt want to marry him at all. They remember their old sequences, how arti disliked yash, and how she had refused to marry at the last minute. Yash says that she was like this from the beginning, and rejected someone who girls used to throw themselves on. Arti remembers how she was very nervous on their wedding night, and how they shared it awkwardly, with yash doing all the wrong moves. Arti remembers how she was disguted by all that. she says that she realised later on, how prateik was to blame. She tells that they used to differ in everything, but finally fell in love. Yash reminds how she had first confessed her love, on the beach here in mumbai only. They remember the sequence. Arti says that she didnt take time in confessing her love, but yash tortured her for a long time, before he proposed her. They remeber that too. He says that he had never thought that anyone could replace arpita, but he did this only for the sake of his kdis, and family. and them the marriage, resulted into friendship and finally culminated into love. he says that he didnt realise when she taught him to live again, and smile and enjoy life. she says that he gave her much happiness, but she cant forget when he had adorned their room with their pictures, replacing arpita. Yash reprimands that she hadnt even noticed it that night, and it was only next morning, when she found out. Arti tells him to stop talking, as she’s in a reminisceing mode.
They reminisce how prashant had created trouble in their marital life, demanding custody for ansh. She says that she felt everything would be over between them, and yash would be lost. He reminds her of ishita and her evil plans, about seperating them, and kidnapping ayu. Keeping his head on her lap, he says that with the blessings of their parents, and their children’s good wishes didnt let it happen. He asks arti that nothing or no force in the world, can seperate them ever and that they shall always be together. Arti nods her head in agreement. She says that this is true love, and life too is defined by this, and is spent by being with each other, smiling and crying, and spending every stride as it comes along, in their life. Arti says that she would forever remember every moment of her life, spent with him. she thanks him for giving such beautiful memories. Yash is all smiles in remembrance. arti jerks him away, saying that she has to get ready for bhopal. But yash is in a mood for flirting. Arti hampers it by giving him a false scare of cockroaches. Yash says that he would come after her.
As arti is all ready, yash caressingly tries to stop arti, flirting that they can have a second honeymoon, if she stays back, when she says that her husband doesnt have time for her. The screen freezes on arti’s happy face.
Precap: When pari gets ayu to the clinic for a checkup, ishita stealthily gets in, draping a shawl. she steals ayu from the nurse, and runs off. Pari sees this and runs after her, reprimanding her that she would foreverregret this. But ishita doesnt listen, while pari, prateik and yash run after her. She gets into the car and drives off, with yash missing her car by an inch.

May 16, 18:48bindhi actually PV saved me from PR because I could not stand how they were killing the storyline there was no longer any pavitra in the rishtas PV was a breath of fresh air as far as serials go. Must admit it made quite a mark in its relatively short run… will definitely miss it.

Funny thing Magi , I looked at PR out of curiosity recently and it seems like PR may eventually lead to a Punar Vivah , lol . Both the current leads are experiencing marital problems and neither of them love their spouse :S . Ekta will never let that show die it seems .

May 16, 19:19Agreed , but if the will is weak them you can be coerced into lots of trouble . Arjun should have never agreed to marry someone he doesn’t love and Pari should have never forced him . Madness like this makes me watch this show sporadically instead of with any passion like I have for PV . Ishita is bad on PV but , the worst character I have ever seen is Savita . She messed up many lives and never learns nor has she been properly punished .

I was so upset when I heard that they will use the Ye Dil Hai song . That song is meant for ArYa only . I didn’t want anything to do with PV 2 when I found that put .
I don’t like the new show replacing PV but I love you guys .
I know how you feel , I also held hope for a while that PV won’t end . I like QH , I’ve never watched the others much but I really like the girl from SSLK . I saw her dance once on Dance Little Masters with one of the contestants , she was great . I think her name is Gunjhan .

May 16, 20:03Yeah , They said that the song was meant for the show , not the couple . Hopefully they rethink this decision but , I already saw a clip with KVG and one of the lead actresses where the clip was used . I will try to find it for you .

we are all so sad but alas it’s true; I feel that we did not get to see enough of the family time with Yash, Aarti and kids, they were always trying to solve one mystery or another and their time together building a life was very sporadic; the show needed more family and tender moments.

We figured that if soap opera police were any reflection of the actual Indian police , then we would have gone undetected for at least two years .
I don’t have any other ideas that don’t involve moderate violence and the possibility of future jail time in an Indian prison 🙁 🙁 .

It’s on PV and I’ve read about five parts so far and haven’t stopped laughing,
Gayatri placed an extra large bowl of tomato soup infront of yash..”you will have this only”She ordered further.
Yash nodded his head for a yes as his helpless eyes roamed all over the dining table covered with mouth watering dishes. He had not eaten a single thing since morning.All he had done was drinking water cum juices and visiting toilet for umpteenth times..
Suddenly bua ji stood up at her place and announced..” I have to say something to all of you..”
All the members of scindiya clan looked up as all three bahus stopped serving to male members of the family along with bua ji and gayatri.Kids were out for a sleepover at their friend’s place,
oh..Maya is gonna blame aarti bahu for something stupid again..papa scindiya thought.
I think I should talk with bauji about my punarvivah after buaji finishes her talk..Vidhi has no time for me..Bauji only cares about yash’s needs..what about mine??? Pankaj thought.

MK I know why you love this fanick . You always wanted to see Bua’s remarriage . Afreesh and I had discussed this once and we spoke about Papa S’s inability to recognize the needs of his sister because of his bias and fear of society’s rebuke . Bua was never brave enough to ask her brother for remarriage but she was very bitter about Aarti’s opportunity of a second chance .
She does deserve a second chance . I was a bit angry that no one thought about her loneliness but they recognized Papa S’s immediately . Maybe PV 2 might address the issue if older widows being remarried .

They are being misogynistic, I would not say that there is really hated of women here but certainly oppression/indifference about the needs and rights of women to live life on their own terms and have the right to choose something as significant as whether to remarry or live alone.. this should be a choice not an imposition

I was really disappointed that even ArYa couldn’t recognize the hypocrisy of their thoughts that Papa S deserves a second chance and shouldn’t remain alone . They seem to think that Bua should be happy to devote her life to prayer , but the audience has been the only ones privy her agony . . Not a word was ever mentioned about Bua’s loneliness by any one from the Schindia clan . It isn’t her age , because Papa S is older .

May 16, 19:33Definitely Suni, and it seems she became a widow at a young age, I felt for her when she confessed that she did not know what it was like to cradle a baby in her lap when Aayu was adopted. It was both painful and wonderful to see her melt with the baby in her arms. Somehow I feel that PV is left unfinished. We never got to see any real storyline develop on Vidhi and her husband they were just like fillers in the show for the most part.

May 16, 19:51Again I agree . They had a brilliant cast that was underutilized . GC and KS became PV . PR survived because EKta developed her subsidiary characters and wove their stories into her longterm plan . I always thought that they could develop the angle of Panjraj feeling deserted ; he may have considered an affair . Pari and Pratheik could have separated and face the possibility of divorce because of Pari’s indiscretion . The other characters were used mainly as props really .
100 % agree that PV seems to be left unfinished .

I felt like, KS & GC ‘s understanding heightened nowadays. GC is looking very comfortable with KS, they both justified their role 100% in their song sequence. but I couldn’t control my mouth yaar, why didn’t they do it before???.. Did their popularity & heroic power silenced the creative team all these days???..
The beautiful journey destroyed by human’s selfish motive and ego clashes…

Actually she took risk by accepting this matured character (aunty role), other productions may find difficult to fetch her with normal role despite the popularity of PV. Why should she take break for 3 or 4 months???… she looks very dull in on screen as well as off screen… I’m not impressed by Arthi but I like KS yaar…

He has a quiet charm despite his most evident masculinity . I always admired his down to earth nature and passion for dancing and action scenes . He is boyish and fun but also serious and dedicated . A great guy .

May 16, 17:05Suni dear…. you are not watching sbb segments regularly… the director used to act for each touchy touchy scenes yaar. You remember Mumbai scenes, KS & GC was comfortable with each other at those time.
During JDJ his better half used to go PV set for GC’s time & date arrangements. I didn’t see the natural acting between them after JDJ.
Definitely the director never advised them to hug with one km distance yaar. It’s their own problem dear, but the director also didn’t justify his job, he shouldn’t be flexible with their unnatural hug.
Yes we should blame the director also…

May 16, 17:18Ks will be fine . She has a relaxed fun approach to her life . She is probably going to try and put things into perspective and take a long mental rest . She did her best for PV yaar . During the Mumbai scenes she carried the show for a while . Any PH should be lucky to get her .
She offers a different and confident style that seems inherent in her being . The times that I have heard her speak ,she is always comfortable , self assured and intelligent . Aarti was an opportunity for KS to gain a new experience in her career . The future and present is filled with strong women just like Aarti , not the typical heroine who is always in distress .

You know, GC’s special is his eyes and nose…. I didn’t find any replacement to that part in small screen till date.
if you see him with open eyes (hahaha), he looks like a villain at some angles yaar. He was looking very strange and ugly in JDJ. I had seen his mother’s day special program in star plus when I was at Oman. He was looking normal…
I really don’t understand how yash is looking more handsome than real especially at the time of Vineet & Adesh entries.
However, nowadays, he looks older… so, I have no problem for saying bye to him

I am so amazed that GC and KS would be satisfied with a lackluster performance that doesn’t display their best work . They are professionals , it seems immature and yes , you said it right when you spoke about egos . The SBS segment are all on Hindi yaar , so I rely on you for such info. .

May 16, 17:36Afreesh , he is the most handsome guy on the small screen and the muscles won’t look that good on KVG 🙂 . I don’t even want to see his . I know what you mean , his nose is a bit pointy , but he has a remarkable smile . I think he actually looked better with a fuller face , it softened his appearance a lot and made him look younger . He is only 29 yaar . With him being an exercise freak , and workaholic , the muscles look fabulous , but his face admittedly looks a bit worn . He could use the 4 months rest that KS had opted for .

May 16, 17:46Ah…I forgot to say…in another way mittals made me forget about yash my dear…. yash lost my respect initially after that distrust & blaming of Ayu’s kidnap script then the balance gone after dinning table, etc…..etc…incidences. Finally, I’m looking at him as a average human nothing special as they described his character sketch earlier.
As I told you, the present track is the storyline of 6 months but they wouldn’t have highlighted his flaws the way they did at present. Probably they would’ve annoyed us through Arthi and her motherly sentiments and avoiding Yash, then slowly Ishita’s interference in their life without Yash’s acknowledgement. Then later Arthi realises her distance and becoming secured and possessive at him. Definitely they won’t destroy his character entirely if they continued PV yaar.
As you described the goons might’ve arranged their bedroom scenes, not like this script as like as a wandering man trapped by her. It’s a over dose on his flaw especially done to destroy his heroic image my dear.

May 16, 18:05Suni… one more thing yaar, I think Ishita is their favorite cast. I understand this after her acting at hotel room. You know why, she has acted as per the requirements of creative team. Do you think GC is happy with that hotel scenes???… definitely no…
But heena never mind his reactions as like as KS. She did whatever the director dictated despite of GC’s opinions. According to the plot, he was vulnerable, so he can’t control anything, the rest was in the actress hand. If she didn’t support the CT , those scenes never affected our respect on Yash character.

May 16, 18:08I’ve never seen Yash as perfect though . He has a tendency to not acknowledge the situation around him unless he has a good reason to do so or is ready to do so . His memory of Aarti’s love confession is a perfect example . He must have felt Aarti’s affections growing for him , but , he seemed caught off guard by her revelation . He is not willing to accept change quickly , we know , which is why I kinda understood his need to alienate himself and deal with his internal conflict alone . Even Aarti understands this because she allowed him his space . He knew that Ishita was not a saint but his inability to accept negative things about people prevented him from thinking rationally . He never told Pratheik about Pari , but he should have told Aarti about Ishita . It seems difficult for him to accept the flaws of anyone , but , Aarti he blamed outright . Maybe because he trusts her totally and expects her to always be perfect and right .

May 16, 16:01Trinity, somehow I feel its not Gurmeet who has the problem but Kratika. Perhaps its the roles that they both had to portray as Yash and Aarti. Remember in the beginning neither of them liked touching one another like on their wedding night and even long after that.
If you look carefully how Gurmeet hugs Kratika and how she hugs him. His hug is like fully embracing but with both hands around her, her hug is not so much of an embrace but she always hugs him like halfway with alittle space in-between and not with both hands around him, always one hand around his waist and the other hand on his chest. I’m not to sure if I’m explaining it correctly to you; but I hope you get my drift.
I think in today’s dance you could see they seem to be very comfortable and relaxed with each other. Perhaps as it was their final romance scene together they both probably decided to go all out – what de heck no more holding back!

If the on screen cut is not what the director wishes to show then they can do over the scene . If our ArYa lacked chemistry before where did it appear from now ?? I don’t trust those writers and directors , GC and KS are capable of much more than we were allowed to see on PV . There talents of these actors were wasted because the writers seem to have other intentions for this story , that we will never get to see .

As I said earlier, both Yash and Aarti portrayed their roles as per their characters and therefore their roles created or showed that they lack chemistry between them and now because of time passing in the presentation of the characters and plots they have now found a comfort zone between them that we never saw. This is because of the trust that they both have for each other since the start of the year. Yes, they are both certainly experienced and brilliant actors and they were under-utilised for whatever reason because of the PH .

differences could be ironed out between them and the actors. When I heard first that there would be a PV2,
I wanted PV2 with the original actors and if they changed the storyline or even moving to Mumbai to live
I would have accepted it. But you’re telling me that there was nothing further to write or show and yet you’re coming with PV2, that means PH already had their own agenda in ending PV. I guess this was in the pipeline a long long time ago. In order to promote a new show one must have a storyline and continuaton of that storyline. I just don’t buy it. Actors were left in the dark. PH is lying to us, plain and simple. Passing on blame to others and media suck up to this and we feed on it. PV is based on remarriage and realistic family life. PV2 would be based on what??? I guess they would show the stupidness of what is seen on other shows. Sorry to sound so angry.

Jeez, you think the writers would have given us a break by ending the Ishita scenario at least by Wednesday (15th) and given us two days free with Yash and Aarti and alittle bit of The Syndhia Family. Now, they taking the Ishita matter right down to the end, that is, Friday. Who wants to see Ishita – Ms. Sicko. Time is now going to be spent on showing that fool when it could have been used for Yash and Aarti scenes with the children, kinda like one big happy family. Then the PH would want to rush and cramp so many likeable audience scenes into half an hour. Hope they make the final episode about one hour and more. Take care Pat.
