Punar Vivah to end on 29 November; to be replaced by Doli Armaanon Ki on Zee TV
Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed, produced by Shashi-Sumeet Productions is all set for a wrap-up this month end. Our readers would remember that we had earlier reported about the Zee TV show shutting shop in the month of December (2013) owing to low TVTs.
And now, we have confirmed news that Punar Vivah will air its last episode on 29 November, thus making way for Spellbound Productions’ upcoming show Doli Armaanon Ki which will take the 10.30 pm slot. The new show will start from 2 December and it has Neha Marda, Mohit Malik and Siddharth Arora in lead roles.
As we know, Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed happens to be the Season 2 of Punar Vivah starring Gurmeet Choudhary and Kratika Sengar, wherein a fresh story was told by retaining the theme of re-marriage. However, the second edition did not succeed in getting huge numbers.
When contacted, an actor from the sets confirmed about the closure of Punar Vivah on the basis of anonymity.
We hear that the makers did start with a murder mystery track recently to up the ratings and infuse more drama, but the channel it seems, has taken the ultimate decision of pulling the plug off.
Our efforts to reach Producer Sumeet Mittal were in vain.

Punar Vivah is such a good story right now and there’s so much more they can add like Vikrant and Sarita having a child and Abhi learning to get used to the new child. These writers are so uncreative now so it’s no wonder the shows just end abruptly.

If u did not have story line I can give 1, at least let divya suffer raj & his family so much of what they did 2 sarita, let vikrant lurv sarita so much that he can’t do anything with out, but sarita should mut lurv him 4r not trusting her, she should suffer Vikrant letter on fall 4r him again. Let sheela get married 2 Rohan, after given birth she should take everything frm them, their wealth everything, Rohan mum should not get anything and become her house help only. November 13, 15:56NO WAY! Punar Vivah 2 is one of the best shows on ZeeTV. I don’t understand why they would take this show off! Pavitra Rihsta should be taken off ZeeTV, that show has turned to garbage! Punar Vivah has a great story line that actually makes sense! I really want to see how Sarita and Vikrant’s love develop. This show seriously should not be ending. I am so upset by this. They should definitely rethink their decision!!!

November 12, 19:07The show had its low points, but overall, was a far better offering than some of the others the channel is currently airing. SSLK and Ek muthi Aasmaan for example are a total waste of time and should have been axed a long time ago.
It seems that the Zee team that selects these shows and their duration of airing is oblivious of the viewers preferences!!!!
PV2 has grown and should stay on. Get rid of some of the other unpopular shows!!!!!!!!!

I would have like to see Sarita and Vkrant develope their relationship to a higher level….It would be nice to see it ending on a happy note…with Sarita with children of her own….Since she wasted 10 years of her life with Raj……
