Pandey’s house
Sobha is praying that her plan should be successful and that she should get hold of the property soon – so that she could teach all of her enemies a lesson! Just then a famished Abhimanyu returns home and demands for some food from his mother. Sobha returns his requests with agitated responses and serves him some food eventually. However, no sooner than he gets a call from Mehek the elated young man abandons his unfinished plate and runs off to meet her.

At Mehek’s area
On meeting Mehek he discovers that she’d beckoned him purely because she needed some work done for her. The disappointed man sulks about how she summoned him at her own whim and fancy – and that on this instance he’d even sacrificed his food to be with her. Watching his less-than-happy expressions and passive complaints, Mehek tries to pacify him by letting him know that he should have completed his meal first.
‘Your calls are like an emergency to me’ he states ‘My heartbeat starts racing…I start fretting and without contemplating much, I just leave to meet you!’
Abashed by his statement, Mehek glimpses down for a second and smiles coyly. She then looks back at him and suggests on a chirpy note ‘Fine…I don’t want you to owe me anything… let me treat you to some chaat’
Saying so, she leads him to a fast-food stall nearby.

While sharing plates of chaat, Mehek lets Abhimanyu in on the scandalous information she’d just learnt about Sadanand Tiwari. She requests Abhimanyu to find out all he could about the ‘new mistress’. The young man is initially shocked by the gossip and then a bit irked to – considering how a handsome young man like himself had no girlfriend to speak of, while the old Tiwari was keeping himself busy with two! Snapping out of his thoughts, Abhimanyu then returns to reality. He tells Mehek that he was over the moon about how she was spending time with him and sharing chaat with him. He even drops her a few hints that implicated the possibility of their future together.
Mehek on the other hand, acts like she didn’t understand his intentions and sticks to what she wanted – him to carry out his task. In the course, if she had to return his grins with a few fliratious smiles and praises – so be it!
Abhimanyu promises the girl that he’d call her as soon as he finds out something about the mistress. Nodding her head in affirmation, Mehek leaves the young man behind – allowing him to get lost in his own dreams. Repelled by his clingy behaviour, she hopes she’d be able to get rid of Abhimanyu once the mystery-saga came to an end.

Sanchi is about to get on her cycle, when she spots Indu. He notices her just about the same time.
Instantly acting like as though he was tired and exhausted due to sleeplessness, Indu stretches his arms out and yawns. He approaches Sanchi with a sullen face
Smiling at his drama, Sanchi enquires with mock-empathy ‘You’re tired, right?’
He nods sadly
‘Or are you ACTING like you’re tired?’
He turns to her, his expressions now turning into intrigue.
‘You go to your den and sleep peacefully…’ she says ‘And now stretch and yawn in front of me?’
Impressed, he raises his eyebrow as he questions her ‘How do you know that I do this?’
She breaks out into a hearty smile ‘What did you think? That if you didn’t tell me, I wouldn’t know’
His fingers automatically find their way to his forehead now, as he readied himself for her babble. She warns him with a frisky grin ‘I am aware of everything that you do Indu Singh…where you go…what you do…whom you speak to…I know everything!’
Placng his hand on the handle of her cycle, he mocks her ‘You’ve definitely discovered a strange power then…you know everything…read people’s minds…why don’t you share the secret of your formula with me, so that I can use it to my benefit too?’
‘Stop talking nonsense!’ she interrupts him ‘Because of your stupid acts, I’ve lost sleep – be it in the morning or at night…so tonight, I’ll sleep peacefully and you will stay awake!’
He lets out an indifferent smile as she cautions him by pointing her finger ‘Better bear this in mind, if not I’ll teach you a lesson, you’ll never forget!’
Nearly amused, he continues watching her. She grits her teeth ‘Now, Excuse me!’
Removing his hand from her cycle bar, he lets her pass by. Watching her leave from the grounds, he mulls to himself ‘Excuse me? Turning into a psychic day-by-day…becoming increasingly dangerous… wonder what formula this is?’

Mathur’s – The hall
The fake babaji (the one appointed by Sobha) enters the Mathur household along with his ‘supposed’ disciple – who’s none other than Roop in a garb! Veena welcomes them warmly and leads them towards the hall. She proceeds to enquire about their well-being and while doing so, notices the nervous Roop shrouded behind a veil. Though innocent enough, Veena instantly feels that the young sanyaasi looked somewhat familiar! The baba tries to put the lady off the scent by misguiding her with petty suggestions ‘You must have met her in a temple or a satsang!’
Though Veena initially protests and adheres to her take on Roop’s familiarity, the baba once again reminds her about why he was there. Finally, its the infamous ‘Shubh muhurat niklaa jaa rahaa hai’ which seems to do the trick.

Veena’s bedroom
Ushering them to a room, she shows them the preprarations she’d done – A havan, the pyre, the fuel etc. The baba then asks her to fetch the property papers. Veena becomes slightly apprehensive and the baba nudges her once again to bring the papers.

Falling into a dilemma of sorts, Veena wonders if she was doing the right thing by conducting prayers AGAINST the Tiwaris. She even proposes to the baba that the Tiwaris were now their relatives and had no purpose in stealing the property papers. However, the baba reminds the distraught lady that it was these very Tiwaris who’d brought them to the streets previously too. Mumbling a few intimidating words, the baba attempts to frighten the lady into submission. At one point, he even threatens to leave the house if she refused to believe him. Ultimately relenting, Veena runs off to get the property papers and the trio begin the pooja.

A short while later, Indu enters the house and hears the ‘Swaaha’ chants emanating from a room inside. Removing his cooling glasses the curious man delves on what could be going on.

Meanwhile, in the pooja; the baba just about manages to get Veena to hand him the property file. However, his actions are abruptly interrupted by a few animated knocks on the door. Surprised at the intrusion, Veena wonders who could be outside her room at this odd hour. Getting up to find out, she opens the door and is taken aback to face Indu Singh.
Peeping into the room, he notices the unfolding events and enquires curiously ‘What’s going on sasuma.. I heard some chants and hymns… is some pooja going on?’
An anxious Veena stutters in response – telling him that it was only a short pooja for bringing peace to the household. She then attempts to get him to leave. However, Indu does not want to leave. Preventing her from shutting the door, the suave man replies that he was also interested in participating and getting to know the ceremony – now that he was married and all!
The son-in-law and mother-in-law have a brief yet gentle tussle and Indu manages to worm his way into the room. Storming into the room with a majestic manner, Indu stands in front of the baba and enquires about what he was doing ‘What are you conducting this havan for?’
The baba becomes increasingly nervous and doesn’t reply. Tensed about the repercussions of her actions, Veena takes the cue and nervously informs Indu about what was going on.
Staring at the baba, he nods sceptically ‘Oh! Danger? Wow baba…you are one miracle-maker…so, you know beforehand what form of danger is about to befall us…’ he pauses with a stern frown ‘Baba, could you tell us what the problem is… what IS the actual threat to this house… what you are doing all this for? You see, I’m the son-in-law of this house – Indu Singh… and any danger has to face me before daring to graze this house…’
‘What trouble?’ the baba now answers hesitantly ‘There’s no trouble now…its been averted…’
While Indu grows increasingly puzzled, the baba brings his act to a hasty conclusion ‘Everything is fine…everything has turned out favourably…the pooja has been completed…’
He then asks his disciple to pack up everything and they endeavour to wrap up their drama as soon as they could. Just as they are about to leave, Veena naively stops them ‘B..b…Babaji you’d asked for these property papers during the pooja…’

Suddenly denying the necessity of any property papers with a lame excuse, the baba then decides to make a dash for it and exit from the room. Precisely at that time, Veena too realizes that she had not yet sought blessings from the holy man. Rushing forth she attempts to stop the man in his tracks and fall at his feet and when she does so, unwittingly nudges Roop away. The girl’s veil briefly slips off and Indu catches a glimpse of her face.
Even before Roop could shroud her face thoroughly, Indu calls out to her ‘Roop…you…here?’
The baba jumps to the girl’s resuce by creating a ruckus ‘How dare you attempt to call out to my disciple by name…’
Following up on his angry performance, the baba compells Roop to leave the house with him that very instant and drags the girl away.
However, their hurried exit only confirms Indu’s suspicions ‘Something’s wrong…something strange is going on here…’ brushing his hair, the bewildered young man frowns upon the unpleasant issue.

The hall
Relaxing on the sofa, Sanchi ponders upon the idea of placing the property papers in their bank locker. This way she could avoid any form of confrontation and yet the house would remain safe from the Tiwaris! (Finally!)
Just then, Veena enters the hall and notices Sanchi seated on the sofa. She wisely decides against informing sanchi about anything that had just transpired with the baba. Barely a moment later, Indu joins them in the hall too. He is about to broach the subject of the seemingly suspicious saint when Veena silently signals to him not to do so. Instantly realizing that Sanchi would not take the matter lightly, he nods his head with an understanding smile and lets go of the matter for then.

Veena once again turns her attention to Sanchi and offers to get her a cup of tea. Quickly getting into his usual act, Indu casually lounges on another sofa and requests a cup for himself too.
This deed of his infuriates the feisty girl. Standing up, she questions Indu Singh ‘How dare you? Do you assume my mother to be your servant…’
Perturbed in the least, Indu replies coolly ‘What? Servant? She was making a cup of tea for you, so I asked for one too…whats wrong in that? You have a problem with this too?’
‘yes…’ she shouts. While he winces in irritation at the tone of her voice, she yells back loudly ‘Because you better learn to do your work yourself…don’t go ordering people around in my house…’

Veena is about to calm the hostile couple down, but remains unsuccessful in doing so. However, the unexpected emergence of an oblivious Radha a moment or so later, compels Sanchi to subdue her wrath.
Instantly putting on an act, she asks Indu with mock-affection ‘So, Indu Singh you wanted tea right…I’ll get it for you…just let me know how many spoons of sugar you take…’
Watching her changed demeanour, Radha is puzzled and Veena is relieved.
However, the most bewildered is Indu. Nevertheless, the man is quick to catch the cause for the shift in Sanchi’s attitude (i.e. Radha’s presence) and decides to take advantage of the situation. Continuiung to lazily lounge on his sofa, he asks his wife with a smile ‘Now that you’re getting me tea, why don’t you get me a snack to go with it too?’
She agrees to do so – with a forced smile on her lips

Radha is concerned about how the couple were growing increasingly close and decides to let Tiwari know about it.

The kitchen
In the kitchen, Sanchi has made tea for Indu – albeit with a few generous spoonfuls of salt in them. Veena catches her daughter doing so and tries to stop her, but Sanchi retaliates by saying ‘This is what he deserves!’
An overwrought Veena tries to inform Sanchi that she was behaving silly and that the judge sahiba was now sitting in the hall. However, Sanchi barely listens or pays proper heed to her mother.
Instead, she storms out of the kitchen with the tray of tea and snacks in her hand. Only then does she realize that the judge was also sitting in the hall now – probably come over for a visitation!

Precap : Hiding behind a shawl, Indu and Sanchi are tiptoing to fetch the papers in order to keep them safe from the intruders. Sobha/Roop are also doing the same in another part of the house.
