Siddharth Arora narrates his ‘pleasant experience’ of visiting a blind school and an old age home in

Television heartthrob Siddharth Arora, who is currently seen in Zee TV’s Doli Armaanon Ki, is not only one talented actor, but is always blessed with a kind heart.

Why do we say so?

The actor recently spent his Sunday with blind kids and widows at his hometown, Benaras.

The actor shared a post on Facebook stating, “Spent the most special Sunday of my life along with my 2 school friends with Special kids at a blind School in Banaras…..& Old widows at an old age home….It was fun eating, drinking & singing with the kids..I dont want to share this news to show people but i want to share this to inspire people because even i got inspired by seeing some1s fb update on smthing like this……”

In a chat with us, Siddharth shared his experience on his day out.

“Narrating this experience brings me goosebumps. Along with my two friends (Rohit and Darpan), I went to meet widowed women at the old age home (vridh ashram). It is the only authorized old age home by the Government in Benaras. There were around 100 ladies from the age of 5 to 90. In each room there were six ladies staying. Government provides Rs.1200 to the authority from which they have to survive the entire month. They have to spend money for their medicine, clothes and other necessities. It was very sad to see them in this situation. They don’t have a family to motivate them and provide them with the reason to live in this world. In spite of all the hardships they were still smiling. Each room has a television set for their entertainment. As mostly all of them are aged I took fruits for them which they could easily chew,” explained the actor.

He continued saying, “Later we went to a blind school (Andh Vidyalaya) to meet kids. When I reached there I felt I was in a different part of the world. Kids were staying in a 5000 square feet room with beds all around. To interact with them and make them comfortable I asked them whether they could sing for me. Initially they were shy but later they got into the mood and sung marvelously. After the singing session I asked them what would they want to eat. A peon said kids like slice and mazza. So I bought few bottles of slice, mazza and also asked a chaat vendor to come inside the school and make golgappa and chat for them.”

“I can’t explain in words about my experience. It has been my best feast till date. After visiting these places, I have realized that you don’t need money to make someone happy. The only thing that matters is time and effort. I am not saying all this for publicity but if you can make someone smile, that is the best gift you can give to anyone,” the actor ended.
