Taarak Mehta team shoots in slums of Kandivali, Mumbai

On and off, television viewers keep complaining that their favourite shows don’t shoot in real locations. Hence, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Neela Telefilms) team has decided on putting an end to the series of complaints by shooting in a real location.

The upcoming track will revolve around Tappu Sena going to a slum area to educate the kids there without informing their parents. Thus, the parents too will be seen following them in the slums to keep an eye on their kids.

Since, the track revolves around a slum in Mumbai the makers decided on shooting in real location.

We hear that the cast and crew shot in the slums of Kandivali.

Shooting in real locations is always a tough task and the Taarak team experienced the same with people of the area disrupting the scenes.

“Some of them would just walk into the scene or make lots of noise. So, it got a bit tuff but then we managed to befriend a few locales who helped us complete rest of the shoot,” said a source.

It was a day long schedule.

When asked about the same Producer Asit Kumarr Modi said, “It is difficult but we wanted to get the real feel. So instead of creating a set we went to real slums. People there are a huge fan of our show hence, they gathered around us. Most of them wanted to click pictures with the show’s cast but at last they allowed us to shoot without interference.”

Now that’s quite an experience.
