The poet in Mohit Matoo pays tribute to the Delhi rape case victim

Mohit Matoo essays the fun-loving role of Bittu to the ‘T’ in Zee TV’s Mrs. Kaushik ki Paanch Bahuein (Rashmi Sharma Telefilms). But in real life, the actor tends to ponder a lot over many a things happening around him. And the best way in which he expresses his ideas and thoughts is in the form of poems. Mohit has always had a passion of writing poems and pens them whenever he wants to vent/express his feelings.

Recently, the actor was taken aback with shock over the Delhi rape case and its victim, the 23 year old girl. And when he was lost in thoughts over the happenings, he penned his thoughts down that flowed in the form of a poem.

We got in touch with Mohit Matoo who said, “The recent incident in Delhi has shocked one and all. My heart goes out to the young girl and her family. As I began to think about the pain the girl would have undergone, I came up with a poem and dedicate it to the young girl who fought hard to stay alive.”

When we requested Mohit to share the poem with us, he obliged to do so.

And here you go..

Nirbhaya… bhool Jaana…

Phoolon si main pali thi… mujhmein bhala kya kami thi…
Mera bhi pariwaar tha, Maa-Baba, bhai-behan sab toh they…
Mujhe hi phir kyon chun kar bedard haiwaan laashon ne sareaam raunda tha…
Adhoore khwaabon ka qatl karke mere izzat dhakane tak ka kapada bhi chheen
liya…
Dard, cheekh aur khoon mein tadapata phenka tha, raaste ka tamasha banaya
mujhe hi kyon…
Chheen kar, nonch kar mujhse mera sab, vajood ko mere ithihaas bana daala…
Akhbaaron ki surkhiyon ka hissa bani main kyon… qissa har shahar ka, har gali ka
bani main kyon…
Mere haadse se hi kyon ab mere apne pehchaane jaayenge, kehte hain mere qatl
suboot jutaaye jaayenge…
Insaaf ki bheed mein ab deeye jalaaye jaate hain… mere naam pe hi kyon ab vote
bank garmaaye jaate hain…
Sach toh yeh bhi hai ki hashra yeh mera na pehli hi baar aisa hua hai… kabhi
behan, kabhi biwi, kabhi Maa, kabhi Premika, kabhi sirf dost keh kar…
Aksar har baar haiwaanon ne mujhe chhua hai… kitni hi baar buzurgon ne mere
kabhi haath pakada… kabhi nazaron se mujhe nichod daala…
Haan, iss baar bhi mujhe bhool gaye toh, na kabhi Maa, na behan, na bahu-beti
bann kar tumhare aangan mein chahchaoongi…
Tum mujhko bhool jaana… main tumko bhool jaaoongi…

Mohit, this is indeed very touching…
