When we meet socially, I do say hi to Rajev: Delnaaz Irani

we in talks with Delnaaz Irani…

Delnaaz Irani, who has been recently seen in Life Ok’s Welcome – Baazi Mehmaan Nawaazi Ki, shares her experience about being a part of the show, life after Big Boss and much more with us…

How is it being a part of Welcome?
It’s a show full of fun and I have enjoyed every bit of it. The show is all about cooking and feeding people and I love doing all this. I love to feed people when they come to my house and I like to entertain them.

We have heard that during the shooting of Welcome you had a tiff with Sophia Hyatt. What was the actual reason behind this tiff?
Nothing much! We are friends now. There was some mis-understanding created between two of us during the episode. Some argument happened between us that lead towards this tiff but now everything has been sorted and all is fine. We all were happy on the last day and we left on a very happy note.

How good are you at cooking?
Thanks to Bigg Boss I got to know that I can cook well. I am not saying that I am a fantastic cook but I am a decent cook. I can cook meals for myself and even for few people coming over home. Big Boss let me know that I have great cooking skills and I can manage cooking. Initially, I thought cooking was boring, but now after Bigg Boss I enjoy it. In fact, I find cooking very relaxing. I can cook rice, pulses, vegetable, chicken, fish… almost everything.

What else you are busy doing these days?
I am doing a new play which starts in April so I am busy with the rehearsals. It is a comedy play produced by Ashwin Gidwani and directed by Paritosh Painter named Marriages Were Made in Heaven. I have earlier traveled to different places like Dubai and Hong Kong for my earlier plays and it was lovely being there.

How has life changed after Big Boss?
Nothing has changed much. Big Boss is like a very colorful feather added to my cap because it was very good and a lifetime achievement for me. It’s been a very good show in terms of its popularity and TRPs. It’s a big show on TV and any actor would love to be a part of it. I have been working before Big Boss and I am working post Big Boss without any breaks so, nothing has changed much. All is going good. Post Big Boss, I am getting many offers for live events and hosting, which I am doing. I am open to doing a good comedy show on Television as its been really long that I have done a comedy show on TV.

Are you in touch with Rajev Paul?
Not really! I am not in touch with him. When we come across each other socially, then we only do hi hello.

What about films?
I have done many movies and and yes I am open for a good film offer even today if the role is good. I can excel in comedy and I would love to do that. I would also love to play a mature role in movies.
