Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev 3rd January 2013 Written Update

The episode begins with Ganesha seeing little Nahush. Nahush finds Ganesha fascinating and asks him if he can touch his trunk. Ganesha obliges. Nahush asks Ganesha if they can be friends. So Ganesha and He become friends.

Ganesha tells Ayu and his wife that he likes Nahush and he accepts the rishta. Ayu says Nahush is still too small, Ganesha says that mariage is from the soul-age doesnt matter at all, and says Nahush and AS will get married in the future. Nahush says he too accepts the proposal to marry AS.

Ganesha asks Ayu and his wife if he can take Nahush with him, so that he can break AS’s tapasya and take her back home. Ayu and his wife agree.

So little Nahush calls out to Ashok-Sundari, and Ashok Sundari instantly recognizes him and asks how did he come here? Ayu explains your brother approached us with you alliance. AS is happy and thinks its Kartiekya. Ayu corects her and says no its your other brother, the one born after you left-who is known as Shri Ganesha by everyone. Ayu moves as Ganesha steps forward from behind him.

AS gets emotional on seeing her brother for the first time. Ganesha thanks Ayu for helping him get his sister out of her Tapasya, now they will together return to Kailash. Ayu says he wishes to meet Mahadev too, but since Ganesha is so particular about rituals they will wait till the time of AS’s and Nahush’s wedding. Ayu and Family leave.

At Kailash Mahadev smilingly tells Parvati to make preparations, their daughter will be returning home. Parvati smiles as Mahadev informs her that he has to go-the time has come that he tests his two Bhakts.

A couple is shown outside a small hut doing Pooja of a Shivling chanting “Om Namah Shiva”. Mahadev appears in front of them disguised as a Sadhu. mahadev calls out to them – initially they dont listen but on Mahadev calling out to them the third time they tell him to wait, they are busy in their pooja and cannot give alms now. mahadev says that he is tired. He has talked for days without resting and now he is feeling exhausted and asks the couple (I dont recall their names-so i’ll call them He and She) if he can rest in their hut.

He initially says no sitting the reason that their hut is too small, but she says its ok and asks him to stay in their hut. mahadev enters the hut and asks them about them eating, they reply the only thing they want is life is to meet Mahadev. They ask him to rest and promise him they won’t disturb him.

In the night, the couple is asleep outside when a snake comes and tries to attack her but he to protect her tries to move the snake but gets bitten. Although he is in severe pain in order to not disturn their guests he suffers the pain silently.

In the morning his wife wakes up and is shocked to see him dead. Mahadev asks what happened. On seeing him dead mahadev says its his fault. she says that it isnt his fault, maybe it was destiny, she wants him to leave this house without any sadness or guilt of what happened.

She turns back and is shocked to see Mahadev in front of her. Mahadev gets her husband back to life. He says that he was testing them to see if they despite being so involved with his pooja they would still be courteous to their guests or no. mahadev is pleased with them and blesses them that in their next birth they will be born as Damyanti and Nal, and their milan will happen through a swan.

Precap: Ashok Sundari returns home, while Parvati misses Kartikeya and wishes he was there too. Mahadev goes to get kartikeya back, but Kartikeya says that he felt that without an invitation from either his mother or father he could not come to Ganeshas Janam Utsav and hence he felt he had no place in Kailash.
