Diya Aur Baati Hum 29th June 2012 Written Update

Episode starts with Sandhya telling Bhabhasa that she just tried her best without thinking about the result. Her parents have taught her to not give up hopes without even trying. Just then Bhabho checks Sandhya’s hands. She asks Sandhya that if she has rolled all the papads, how come there is no sign of redness or any mark on her hands. Sandhya shocked and dumb hearing this. Bhabhasa thinks how to help her and tells Bhabho to remember when Sandhya carried lots of buckets of water and that she looks weak but is actually strong from inside. He then compares Sandhya to Suraj saying he is a famous halwaii of Pushkar but does not have the confidence to participate in a competition. Sandhya says one needs courage to accept challenges and then she is not supposed to degrade her husband but it is true that he lacks courage. Bhabhasa tells her that some parents make their children weak and fearful being overprotective. Bhabho is enraged hearing their conversation. She gets up and goes out. Suraj was doing some work and Bhabho tells him to come with her. She holds his hand and drags him to the house.

She asks Suraj to tell them that he will participate in the contest. Suraj is hesitant. Bhabho tells him to prove his mother’s upbringing and that he will not only participate but also win the competition. Sandhya tells Bhabho that Suraj does not know English and Suraj agrees with her. Bhabho scolds him he is not going to talk English there, he is going to cook. Sandhya again teases saying Suraj is fearful and Bhabho in full josh tells that she has not taught her son to fear and compels him to tell “yes.” Suraj tells “yes, Bhabho, but” and Bhabho just sticks to that yes and tells everyone that Suraj has said “yes.” She tells Sandhya to enroll Suraj’s name for the contest. Sandhya is happy but she says she wants to tell her something.

Sandhya tells Bhabho that this was all drama created by them to get Bhabho convince Suraj for the contest. Everyone shocked why did Sandhya tell this. Bhabho stares Bhabhasa and Chotu and asks that they are involved in this. She asks how come Sandhya speak big words like parvarish and all but she has told lies and cheated Bhabho. Sandhya tells she has not told lies but she did what Bhabho did in the morning. Bhabho is shocked what did she do. Sandhya explains that she lied to that lady who had come for Sudha’s proposal and so Sandhya too followed that lying for a good cause is not a sin. All the while, Suraj is like you people did drama to get me into trouble and now face Bhabho’s anger.

Meena thinks in mind that Sandhya had a good opportunity to get appraisal from Bhabho but she ruined it by telling the truth.

Sandhya goes inside and brings the roti making machine and tells Bhabho that she rolled papads with it. Bhabho is very angry for being cheated. Just then, Chathuri sneezes. Bhabhasa tries to defend her by him sneezing but Meena gets doubt. Doubtful Bhabho stares under the cot and Bhabhasa pulls the bedcover to ground slowly. Finally, Meena exclaims it is Chathuri and she comes out.

Sandhya asks sorry to Bhabho and is hesitant to what further. Bhabho taunts her for having had her work done by hook or crook. Sandhya tells they have to fill the form and Bhabho agrees to it and hurries her. Sandhya takes her blessings and Suraj too. Sandhya then tells the form needs to filled online within 5 p.m. and they go to Cyber Caf.

In the Cyber Caf, a person (think it is the new entry software engineer) gives his pendrive to the worker of the cyber cafe there to get a printout of his ticket. Just then, SurYa come there. That person is observing SurYa. Sandhya opens internet explorer but there is no net connection. She is tense as it is just 20 minutes left. She asks the worker there why net is not working and that person informs her that net is not working in whole of Pushkar and only datacard works. Sandhya wonders how will she get a datacard in 15 minutes. She gets tearful saying what will they do now, how she had built hopes in Bhabho and others and how sad it would be if it is not fulfilled. Suraj calms her, wipes her tears and tells she had tried her best and not to worry about it. Surya are about to leave that the new person stops them, excuses as he heard their convo and offers his laptop and datacard. Suraj is hesitant and that person urges them to not waste the remaining 10 minutes in thinking. Sandhya takes it from him and opens the website and enters details in the form with checking the clock every time. She clicks “send” and it is processing and just a few seconds are remaining.
