Diya Aur Baati Hum 5th November 2012 Written Update

Episode starts with Suraj stopping a biker and asking for lift. The biker tells he knows him from the newspaper photograph and as winner of WTC he got immense fame, and is elated on meeting him. The man goes on to say that Suraj brought immense glory to the nation by winning an international competition and he is really happy on meeting him.

Suraj hurries him and says him to help him reach Pushkar. The man says he is going to Pushkar only, and is very much glad to help him out. He turns the bike around, picks up Suraj, asks him where to go. Suraj names Sandhya’s college and they are off on a fly. Suraj is happy that he finally found some transport.

Sandhya reaches the college and enters for Chavi’s admission. She passes through the gates, enquires a student about where the admission is going on and reaches the spot in an instant.

Suraj enters the same college a little later. He passes through the gates, enquires a student about admission procedures but get only little response. He tried another person and got to know of the spot where admission forms are being given out.

Sandhya stands in line for getting Chavi’s admission form. She doesn’t see Suraj.

A little later, Suraj comes and stands in the same line where Sandhya is standing, but after 6-7 persons. He too doesn’t see Sandhya, and looks visibly worried.

Suraj consults a student about what documents to be brought for admission, and finally jots them down in a paper. While jotting down, he loses grip on his pen and it falls.

Sandhya buys form and is coming when Suraj’s pen falls at the same time, he bends to pick it up, and thus Sandhya failed to see Suraj and goes away to a side to fill up the empty form.

Sandhya fills up the form and is a tad emotional, thinking about her own state of affairs.

Suraj fills up the form in Hindi and thinks about the document to be brought, goes to the house as there is little time left for admission procedure to be closed down for the day.

Meena sees the same lady who took money from her earlier by hoodwinking her buying a sari from Vikram’s shop, and thinks her to be a thief, and asks her to give back her money, but couldn’t shout out due to the effect of medicines probably. Her voice is inaudible and Vikram wonders what happened to her.

Suraj comes to house and directly goes to the storeroom to search Sandhya’s bag for the documents.

No one sees him, but Bhabo is also going to the storeroom to keep some items
Bhabo is at the door now.
Bhabo’s attention is suddenly diverted by Vikram-Meena fight.
Vikram says to Bhabo that Meena is harassing customers unnecessarily.

Meena can’t speak and says many things, inaudible though. She tries to convey about the cheating and all but fails to do so in right and proper manner.

Bhabo says what happened to her voice, which usually is at high pitch, today has come to naught.

Sandhya returns from college at the same moment and Bhabo’s attention now shifts to her.

Sandhya says Chavi’s admission procedure has been successfully completed and the classes will start about a week or so.

Sandhya goes to give Bhabo the admission receipt, opens her bag.

Sandhya also takes out a newly bought book for taking out the receipt, Bhabo sees that and asks if it a story book or what, whether it is given from the college itself.

Sandhya says it is not a story book, but she has bought it from a stall just for reading, as sometimes she doesn’t get sleep at night, so books will come as good company in night.

Bhabo is shocked

Bhabo thinks that she had not been able to do brainwashing properly, and Sandhya still has something of old behavior. She is still attached to her books, which definitely seemed a big concern for Bhabo.

Sandhya comes to her room and is getting refreshed, when Bhabo enters with Sharbat (drinks), Sandhya is astonished and asks Bhabo if anything is wrong.

Bhabo asks Sandhya if this book (which she bought) is like Ramyana or not, and examines it.

Bhabo says like Ramyana has so many chapters, but each chapters are neatly stacked in the book in sequence, which makes it special, and every page is valuable in it.

The same goes for family as well. And she is trying to bind the family as in a single book, but seems like she cannot go on doing it for long.

Sandhya is confused.

Bhabo says her hold on family is slackening. Suraj is going against his ideals.
And after what Mohit did in the morning, she has a feeling that the family is not united anymore, and the usual sync and bonhomie is missing among family members.

Bhabo says as Suraj is hell-bent on fulfilling his wife’s dreams, he is daring to go against Bhabo. She is scolding and stopping everyone till now, but doesn’t know for herself as to how long she will be able to do it. She says she is failing to keep the customs and rules of this house in proper form and all these years, she worked for the family and had overseen to keep a hawk’s eye such that the rules, regulations and customs of the family are not broken in any form but now she feels that her overall hold on the family is slackening and she is sick on watching that helplessly.

Sandhya says Suraj is too honest and innocent, and Bhabo knows better than her.

Bhabo says she has full faith in Suraj and Sandhya as well. She only wants them to help her in keeping the family intact and upholding family values which seems of utmost importance to her.

Sandhya says she understood the meaning of relation and family life after coming here, so she will be indebted to this family, and she will not let anything related to her to come in between the relations of family.
Sandhya says what she can do to keep the family united, to keep the family in good shape.

Bhabo says only by actions one can prove himself/herself, not just by words.
Sandhya thinks about something, says she will come in one-minute and Episode ends here.

Precap
Bhabo and Sandhya have a conversation in GG room, with Suraj listening eagerly from outside the door.

Bhabo says to Sandhya to give the dreams of her parents to her, so that she can redesign it in a better manner, and so asking all the things which are related directly or indirectly to her dream.

Sandhya says she cannot give that pen of her father’s howsoever she might want to, as that it the last memento of her parents and she will not be able to part with it.
