DTB Awards 2012 – WINNERS!
Before we announce the final results, we would like to thank everyone who spent their valuable time and voted in DTB Awards 2012. The response was really great. Thousands of people from all around the world voted in these awards, and based on your and only your votes, Iss Pyaar Ko Kyaa Naam Doon, Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, and Punar Vivah are among the winners of year 2012.
P:S If your show didn’t win, then don’t feel bad. They were nominated because they are among top already, and there’s always next time.
Despite the show going off air recently, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon is the only show that won all the categories in which the show and its characters were nominated. Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon dominated the Best Star Plus Show category, and won others comfortably. This really proves how much fans are missing the show.
Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon won the Best Colors Show category with a huge margin. However, in other categories, it got good competition, and ended up coming 2nd. The popularity of this show is growing very fast and it has all potential to be top show in 2013.
Similar to Madhubala and Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain dominated the Best Sony TV Show category. In other categories, it came close but failed to make in top 3, except the Best Child Artist category in which Peehu came 2nd.
Best Zee TV Show category was initially having a tight competition, but in end Punar Vivah won it comfortably. In other categories, Punar Vivah and its characters managed to come at 3rd position, and hence making to top 3 in all categories in which the show and its characters were nominated.
Pavitra Rishta came 3rd in the Best Zee TV Show category, but it came 1st in the Best Long Running Show category which is quite remarkable because it is very hard to keep shows running for years, and keep audience interested in the show. Balika Vadhu, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, CID all were very close in the Best Long Running Show category, but it was Pavitra Rishta that won in end.
In no time, Qubool Hai has won hearts of many people already. It won the Most Promising New Show comfortably, and came 2nd in the Best Zee TV Show category. After Qubool Hai, it’s Veera that came 2nd in the Most Promising New Show. Both these shows have a great chance to do well in 2013.
Devon Ke Dev Mahadev and Dil Dosti Dance won the Best Life OK and Channel V/MTV show categories, respectively. We missed Best Sab TV Show category, but it is quite obvious that Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah would have won that by a huge margin.

December 30, 16:15I think Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon should have won overall & RK aka Vivian Should have got the award for best male actor of 2012. I didnt like it because arnav won. RK aka Vivian Deserves to win so for me Vivian is and will always be top.
