Bala gives the lemon toffees to Rani as an attempt to find her happiness again.

Dhansukhlal says that officer arrested more people. Mangesh says he seems to be crazy. He said he will arrest more people against whom he can find proof. Pundit ji seconds him. Don’t know what to do. Maharaj advises them to let Bhima and his family manage things their way for some time. Tell the villagers to take an oath of silence for next 3 days for peace. Tell those who got arrested to keep quiet. No one will be able to give or take any statement that ways. Accusations wont help when one party will remain silent. Everyone smiles.

Next morning, Rani picks up a toffee. She turns emotional. Bela asks her what happened. Rani says I was missing my parents. It is so strange. Incidents affect relations in a strange way. I was their princess before I got married. I became inauspicious for them the day I lost my husband. My happy life turned upside down completely. Bela reasons that thinking about the pain wont help in any way. One must try to spend their every minute in forgetting their pain and finding happiness. This house has taught me this. You will learn it too. Rani smiles. She gives a toffee to Bela. This was given to me by this house too. Bela accepts it.

Officer questions all those in custody but they continue their oath of silence. Even the villagers don’t utter a single word when questioned. Dhansukhlal, Mangesh and Pundit ji watch the drama from far. They wont open their mouth at any cost now.

Officer tells Ram ji that no one is saying anything. Your accusations will be dismissed in that case. Ram ji reasons that they are forced to remain silent to make sure people like Maharaj can rule. Officer says we are helpless now. We must close the case. Bhima tells him to do it. It will encourage the abusers though. They will do something again. Officer advises him to involve more people with them who can speak with you. Bhima agrees. They will then raise their voice against people like Maharaj.

Dhansukhlal instigates Rani’s mother to take the task in her hands now. Your husband is in jail and your daughter is living with those lowly people. Pundit ji says your birth and life after death will be ruined now. Rani’s mother rues giving birth to a kid like Rani. They suggest her to complete what her husband had started. You will set an example for the society by doing that. She asks him how she can do that. He says you can give poison to her. No one will question us as she is living in Ram ji’s house right now. Mangesh encourages her as well. She agrees to do it. They promise to give the poison to her on time.

Bala is grinding some herbs. Bhimbai looks at him. He says Vaid ji said that this can heal the wounds faster. Will it be considered breaking the wall between the castes? She shakes her head. This is the true meaning of love. She will remember it always as you are doing this for her when even her loved ones have left her alone. Rani’s mother says we dint leave her alone. I could not ignore her pain even after seeing her go through all that. I brought the medicine for her which she has been taking for life. Bala offers to give it. Rani’s mother requests them to let her meet Rani. Her father will bear punishment for his deeds but she is my daughter after all. Let me meet her once. Bala knows she wont come inside. Bhimbai calls out to Rani. Meera brings her outside.

Flashback shows Mangesh giving poison to Rani’s mother.

Bhimbai brings Rani till the threshold. Entire Sakpal family looks on. Rani’s mother extends the glass towards Rani. It will ease your pain. Bhima is reminded of her bitter words. Rani tells her mother she needs her more than this medicine. I was worried for you. I just wanted to live life a little differently. Rani’s mother tells her to forget it. I hope it will give you peace. I cannot replace this medicine for you. Bhima looks at her intently. Rani accepts the glass from her mother. She is about to take a sip when Bhima pushes it away. Everyone looks on in shock and confusion. Rani’s mother and Bhimbai questions Bhima. Bhima asks her how she could say that Didi needs medicine more than her mother. Dhansukhlal shows sympathy towards Rani’s mother. She is just showing her love to her daughter. Bhima asks him if he has a problem with them staying here. Dhansukhlal and Mangesh nod. Bhima agrees to leave town with his family right away to drink the drops of medicine that are still in the glass. We will leave right away. Dhansukhlal says how can we drink water from the glass that you have touched. Why will we do that? Bhima says you can purify yourself after that. Plus, you will get rid of you. Dhansukhlal refuses. Bhima asks Rani’s mother why Mangesh and Dhansukhlal are not drinking it. You can drink it or tell us what was really inside. Rani asks her mother as well.
