Pakhi reaches the engagement when it was done, and Rimjhim was putting a ring into his finger. She turns around with tears in her eyes. Naksh wipes his tears, walks to Rimjhim and puts the ring in her finger. Pakhi silently watches this amidst everyone’s cheerful clapping.
Later, Pakhi cried on the stairs outside Parekh house. Naksh joins her there. He opens Pakhi’s fist but she withdraws her hand and says it’s useless now, she will return it tomorrow. Naksh pulls her back to sit. Pakhi was annoyed and jerks his hand away, it was her own mistake; but then she had returned in time. Naksh silences Pakhi and asks if she believes he can easily hold someone else’s hand and leave her. Nothing is useless. Pakhi says she saw him get engaged to each other. Naksh changes his side with Pakhi.
He tells Pakhi that he had already changed the size of rings and decided on spot that they must put them in any of the fingers. Pakhi was happy to see that Naksh’s ring finger is empty.
Naksh recalls the whole event.
Rimjhim walks to the room and hangs herself with the fan. Mosmi runs behind, into the room and holds Rimjhim’s feet to save her from dying. Everyone from the family also run upstairs, untie the chunri and saves her. Mosmi questions what Rimjhim was up to. Baa was shocked to see the situation, and wonders what this all is. Ketan tells Baa that Rimjhim was about to commit a suicide. Baa questions Rimjhim why she decided this. Rimjhim says what if everything ends before her engagement, how she can be happy. She heard people discuss that Naksh doesn’t want the engagement. Everyone questions Naksh. Naksh explains to Baa that he wouldn’t have got ready for engagement hadn’t he wanted to; he didn’t say anything to anyone. Naksh noticed Rimjhim smirked.
Pakhi hears all this and says still they couldn’t get engaged, Mohrat was only 7 to 7.15. Naksh laughs, and tells Pakhi that he has learnt a lot in her company. He changed the time on the clock five minutes forward, and there are still 5 minutes left for Mohrat. They laugh together. Naksh decides to exchange the rings before someone comes there. They hear Mosmi and Rimjhim walk outside, talking to their mother on phone. Naksh and Pakhi hide in a corner. Mosmi was telling her mother that the engagement went well, and Rimjhim is extremely happy. Naksh and Pakhi look towards each other and realizes they stood close together. Mosmi asks Rimjhim why she is upset. Rimjhim asks where Naksh has vanished after the engagement, they must keep an eye over him. Mosmi complements Rimjhim’s drama of suicide. Rimjhim boasts herself to be extremely thoughtful. Ketan calls them inside. Naksh and Pakhi come outside and get exchange the rings in last minutes of Mohrat. Rimjhim watches this from inside. Naksh hugs Pakhi, wipes his tears and happily exchange a sweet with Pakhi, putting bites into each other’s minds. Naksh goes to a side and changes the R on board to P. Rimjhim was furious.
Inside, Ketan and Baa were cleaning up. Ketan says Ishaan is cheerful because he is aware it’s his turn next. Ishaan replies his independence is dear to him. Rimjhim and Mosmi come to the hall. Mosmi shouts for Naksh and Pakhi. Baa shuts her up rageously, tells her to cover her head and first tell her why she is shouting. Mosmi says everyone must know what has happened.
