I don’t want to be part of a set up where I will not be creatively satisfied: Rishi Khurana

Rishi Khurana (Sony TV’s Saas Bina Sasural fame) isn’t very happy with the kind of roles he is getting.

“I am only being offered elder brother roles, something similar to my role in the Sony show,” Rishi quips.

“I was also offered a role in Cinevistaas’ upcoming comedy, but they wanted me to play father to a 15 year old. I told them that if I wanted to play a character artiste, I would do so in the next season of Saas Bina Sasural that has been delayed. We had been given a slot, but now apparently it has been pushed forward by a few months,” he informs.

“Cinevistaas again asked me to reconsider my decision, given the fact that it was a prestigious production house. But I politely turned down the request again saying that I don’t want to be part of a set up where I will not be creatively satisfied. That in turn will have a negative bearing on my output as well,” he adds.

Talking about his possible part in season two of Optimystix Entertainment’s Saas Bina Sasural, Rishi avers, “I will continue to play Ved Prakash Chaturvedi. But yes, we will have a small leap to take the story forward. This will not really have any major effect as we will look the same. TV today is quite bad for you find youngsters playing mothers and the worst part is that they don’t look like moms of young women,” informs this somber looking actor.

For the moment, Rishi is doing Dastaan on Zee TV. “I have given them 12 days in a month. This gives me enough time to look for meaty work in cinema.

Earlier, I had done a few films but they never saw the light of day. Today, times have changed when small-time films are getting due consideration. I would love to work with great directors like Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Pandey,” he hopes.

“I will continue to do TV as well, but definitely it will have to be better than what I have done till date,” Rishi maintains.

Rishi, we hope that you get the roles you desire!!!
