Jodha and Akbar’s wedding sequence in the offing in Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar
The future of Balaji Telefilms’ Jodha Akbar on Zee TV is uncertain at the moment with the members of Akhil Bhartiya Kshtriya Mahasabha protesting against the show for hurting the sentiments of Rajputs.

Industry sources have even hinted that in wake of the current agitation, Zee authorities might think of pulling the plug off the project. However, we cannot confirm the development, yet.
There might be lots going on off the sets, but the cast and crew are continuing with their regular shoot.
In fact, they are currently preparing for Jodha (Paridhi Sharma) and Akbar’s (Rajat Tokas) wedding sequence.
A source said: “Jodha will agree to marry. She will think that she is marrying a Rajput and will have no idea that her groom is none other than Mughal King, Akbar.”
The wedding preparations will be low scale as they will tie knot in a tent.
When contacted Paridhi she said, “Yes, we are shooting for such a sequence.”
