Kritika Kamra talks about ‘moving on’ with the closure of Kuch Toh Log Kahenge

The beautiful and talented Kritika Kamra has confirmed media reports that her mature love story on Sony Entertainment Television, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge will wrap up this month end. Says Kritika, “Yes the show is ending and there are discussions already about a Season 2 happening. For the moment I want to take a break as I have been working nonstop for the last few years.”

Talking about the above Rajan Shahi produced show, she says, “I had a great journey being part of the show. It has been among the few shows that have remained consistent in flavour, right from day one. Though there have been the usual drama, and the related ups and downs, it has always followed a certain graph.”

Ask her whether her desire to move on played an important role in the show’s closure, she is quick to state, “I don’t want to say more. I discussed this with the producers and the channel and they were kind enough to understand.”

On the show going weak in terms of cast with the change in male lead, Kritika tells us, “It would be unfair on my part to say such a thing. I have watched Mohnish Bahl’s work as a child and Sharad Kelkar is the most chilled out actor I have ever come across.”

Apart from Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, Kritika is gung-ho about taking part in Ekta Kapoor’s Ek Thhi Naayka on Life OK. “It is matter of great pride to be associated with the mahanaiyakas. I had never thought that I will ever become a TV actor and now to be associated with such senior actors of the calibre of Smriti Irani, Sakshi Tanwar, Aamna Shariff, Shweta Tiwari and Mouli Ganguly and be called Mahanayika, to be called and launched again by Ekta Kapoor is a great feeling. This shows that the idiot box is treating you well.”

Cheers Kritika, and may you come back rejuvenated after your well-deserved break.
