“Looking forward for a challenging role” says Asha Negi

After doing couple of cameos and now planning to quit Pavitra Rishta, Asha Negi is determined to take up more challenging offers.

The gorgeous Asha Negi who is seen playing the role of Purvi on ‘Pavitra Rishta’ was earlier seen doing cameos in the shows ‘Sapno Se Bahre Naina’ and ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hai’. Here she talks about how exciting it feels to be a part of this industry and what’s in her kitty, post her exit from ‘Pavitra Rishta.
Let’s have a look on what she said…

How was your journey with Pavitra Rishta?
My journey with Pavitra Rishta was awesome. I had done cameo roles before but this one proved to be lucky for me as I had a long association with them. I got to learn a lot through this show. I have got all the fame and recognition as an actor through Pavitra Rishta.

What are you going to miss about Pavitra Rishta?
I will miss the entire technical team since they were the most supportive, helpful and I had a great time with them all. I am going to miss all of them very much… right from my hair stylist to the spot boy. The entire crew was just way too amazing. Each day of shooting was memorable with these people.

The co-actor you were closest too?
I was very much close to Ovi namely Shruti Kanwar. I shared out of the box chemistry with her. I got to spend a wonderful time with her and we became best friends too. The entire team was fantastic, and I admire all my co-actors for their work.

What are your plans post Pavitra Rishta?
Definitely I will take a break. I am planning to go back to my hometown Dehradun, to spend some quality time with my family and friends. I will be on a break for at least 15 days and then I will look out for something.

What kind of roles are you looking forward too?
Nothing in particular but it should be very different from what I played in Pavitra Rishta and it should be very challenging too. I would love to play a bubbly and a college going girl role. I have also given audition for a few shows but nothing is concrete as in yet.

What made you leave Pavitra Rishta?
There is a leap happening of around 18 to 20 years and I am not ready to do such an elderly role. I won’t be able to do justice to the role even if I continue with the show, as I myself am not confident enough to play that.

How did acting happen to you?
I always wanted to be a heroine since childhood. I always wanted to get into the glamour world (Laughs). As I grew up my hobby turned out to be my passion and I started searching ways to get into this industry. But my parents did not want me to get into this field. In 2009 I had participated in Miss Uttaranchal contest and I won too. After that I thought to try out in television industry.
As my parents were against me getting into this field my mentor convinced my parents. I landed up in Mumbai and I got my first show ‘Sapno Se Bhare Naina’ in which I played a cameo role.

You also played a cameo role in Bade Acche Laggte Hai, so how was it being a part of that show?
Well I got learn a lot through that show too. Ram sir and Saakshi ma’am were very humble and helpful. They guided me too. So also our shoot in Australia was just amazing we had a great time out there.

If not an actor what would you be?
An air-hostess.
