Subhash accepts Charles’ challenge and says he will reach Mela madain first and win a running race over him. His friends warn him not to accept this challenge as even fast racer Sameer cannot win over Charles and asks him to return back to class. Teacher orders students to get back to class. Subhash walks out of school while parents come to take back children home. Charles smirks seeing Subhash going out and thinks he is trapped. Subhash walks towards Mela maidan thinking he will prove Charles that Indians are not cowards. Rono’s father Marmo babu and Abdul see parents taking children school and rushes to school where Rono informs them that Subhash is not at school. Marmo scolds him asking why did he leave Subbi alone. Abdul asks him to take Rono home while he searches Subi baba. Marmo asks how will he know where Subi is. Charles says he went to Mela maidan. Marmo and Abdul get tensed thinking Krantikari’s maitri sabha is held at Mela maidan, they need to rush there and take Subi home.

Subi reaches meal maidan where people have already gathered. Aurobindo Ghosh reaches and addresses them. He says Britishers want use Hindu Muslim brothers to fight and live separately, it is impossible as we have stayed together since ages; do they want Abddul and Rahman chacha go somewhere else. A boy asks Rahman chacha if he will go somewhere else. Rahman chacha says he doesn’t know. Aurobindo continues his speech and says they need to keep their unity and fight against Britishers.

Abdul and Marmo’s chariot breaks down. He guides driver to fix wheel son. Marmo says let us walk as he cannot leave Subi alone in Mela maidan. Abdul says it is a long way and insists driver to fix chariot soon. They see British battalion heading towards mela maidan and get tensed. At home, Subhash’s mother waits for Subhash and Rono return home. His daughter says Subi and Rono haven’t returned home while their friend Sameer already reached home. Mother warns to mind her tongue. Daughter says she brought Sameer and his sister here. Sameer says Subi left school long ago. Mother insists to tell where he went. Sameer thinks if he informs that Subi went to Mela maidan, she will get angry on him. He finally informs the whole story.

Anupama nervously travels in chariot when police officer stops chariot and says their belongings will be checked. Copassenger asks reason. Officer says he got order to check each vehicle entering Cuttack as krantikaris have held meeting here and they may come hiding. Anupama gets tensed and thinks she has to fulfill her responsibility at any cost and pass on gun hidden in book to Ananth soon.

In Mela maidan, Aurobindo asks everyone to tie rakhi to each other and show their unity. Ananth reaches and meets Aurobindo. Krantikaris ask Ananth if weapons came. Ananth says Anupama has not reached yet, but he is sure she will. He sees Subi and asks what is he doing here and giving him rakhi asks to tie it to his friends. Subi asks if Abdul chacha will not go if he ties rakhi. Ananth sees Britishers attacking krantikaris and asks Subi to run home.

Precap: Subhash’s mother gets tensed and says she heard whoever protests in Mela maidan will be arrested. Britishers attack krantikarsi and start lathi/batton charge. Abdul rescues Subhash and gets hit himself.
