Ruk Jana Nahin 14th August 2012 Written Update by lashy

Mathur’s – the hall
Sadanand surmises that the thief must have run away with the papers. However, Tarachand does not believe him – seeing how they’ve been duped by the Tiwaris so many times in the past ‘The thief must be a person Sadanand must have hired for his own benefit’ the old man proposes
Ironically enough, this time the Tiwaris were facing the music in spite of the fact that they did not have the papers.
Sadanand speaks in his defence that he’d have not planned a thieving attempt had he known that so much of drama was going to take place that night. Plus, he had no papers to show for it too! Nevertheless, Tarachand refuses to relent.
Soon after; Tarachand and Sadanand get into a war of words and Indu is forced to step in to stop the battle. However, Indu’s initial attempts at trying to pacify the two parties remain futile.

As the blame-game escalates, Indu grimaces and holds his forehead – vexed by their never-ending arguments. At one point, Indu even blurts out ‘Mama…please calm down…when you’ve wronged them in the past, they are bound to blame you now’
Sadanand’s fury is only aggravated and the cycle again continues.
Eventually, Indu speaks up – amplifying the tone of his voice ‘Sasurji…if mama’s words and Sobha’s words are true, then the reality is that we have no idea about the thief who stole the papers…we haven’t seen him…we don’t know where he came from…how he came here…we cannot find him, right?’

Hearing this, Veena becomes overwrought at the thought of losing the house once again. The agonized lady gradually falls down in defeat. While Indu is pained to watch his mother-in-law’s state, Sanchi walks towards her mother to try and pacify her.
When Sanchi’s words have little effect; a few seconds later, the gracious Indu walks up to the lady and holds her by her arm. He requests her to stand up and attempts to calm her with gentle words ‘Sasuma…I’m here, right? We’ll find out the whereabouts of that thief…I’m with you…now stand up…please…’
Veena is not convinced – when no one could catch the thief when he was in the very house, how would they locate him now? Fearing that they would be rendered homeless in the near future she wails out loudly.
Unable to watch her plight, the sensitive man vows aloud ‘Sasuma..listen to me.. you trust me right…I promise you that I’ll get you your papers…I’ll search all over Benaras if need be…but, I’ll get the property papers from the thief to hand them over to you…’
His profound words finally seem to have an effect on the lady’s distraugt state. She turns to Indu, wanting to believe in him ‘Will you really do this for me?
‘Yes this is my promise to you…I can move earth and heaven to fulfil my words…’ he replies earnestly
(At this point of time, Indu and Veena seem to share better chemsitry than Indu and sanchi)

While Sanchi and Tarachand find it difficult to trust his words, Sushil and Anita appear happy with their nephew’s newfound sense of morality. Needless to say, Sadanand and Radha feel perturbed. Yes, the Tiwaris do put up a seemingly vocal support for Indu’s stance on searching for the papers, but they are not pleased by his dedication to the Mathurs’.
Ultimately, Indu calls it a day. He requests everyone to give up their worries and to retire to their respective rooms for the night instead.

Once the Tiwaris leave, the concerned Indu approaches his shaken mother-in-law again. Assuring her of his full-fledged support in the matter, he then finally leaves the hall himself.
Watching all of this, Tarachand is pensive

Sanchi’s room
Indu paces around the room thoughtfully, wondering how he’d go about fulfilling his pledge – seeing that they had no clue about the robber
‘Anyway’ he concludes ‘Now that I’ve given my word, I’ll ensure the deed is done, even if it means I risk my life in the process’

Tarachand’s room
Sanchi ushers her mother to her bedroom. Once she ensured that Veena was comfortably seated on her bed, Sanchi begins taking her frustrations out on her ‘How could you trust Indu’s words blindly? He’s a liar…he’s giving you false assurances’
Veena is enraged ‘Why, are you able to read his mind or something…how do you know he’s telling me the truth or lies?’ the emotional mother pauses ‘I know only this that if there is one person who can bring home the property papers its Indu Singh and none else!’

Tiwari’s room
The Tiwaris wonder who could be responsible for stealing the papers
Could it be Sobha? Didn’t seem like it!
Could it be a joint Indu-Sanchi plan? No, why would they do such a thing?
Could it be Shukla? Oh! yes – it could be him!

Sanchi’s room
Stylishly reposing on the bed, Indu watches a listless Sanchi stroll into their room. Looking straight ahead, she walks right up to her desk and sits on the chair, the worry-lines on her brows giving away her anxious state-of-mind.
Shaking his head in displeasure, Indu lets out a heavy sigh and decides to be with her at the moment – hoping he’d be able to comfort her troubled mind.
Wanting to be supportive, he sits beside her ‘What’s this Sanchi…you were advicing sasuma not to be worried…and now that you’ve come upstairs to your room…you look quite unnerved yourself…’ his voice drops to a soft murmur as he leans forward ‘Now erase these lines of worry from your forehead…and don’t fret…I told you that I’d get the papers for you right?’
‘Shall I ask you something?’ she utters
‘Why one? Ask me two!’ he jests
‘You’re showing me false sympathy…’ she kick-starts a reproachful rant ‘You’re acting all goody goody in front of the judge and ma…you searched the entire house for the papers, but couldn’t locate a thief hiding anywhere…and then when the thief ran away from the house – you couldn’t catch up with him, even though you were the only one who chased him …besides, ever since all this transpired, you’ve been behaving extremely supportive…by the way, can I ask you how the thief escaped from your hands?’
Severely offended, he stands up – his genteel manner now giving way to fury ‘You suspect me? You are blamine ME for stealing the papers? If you don’t fear me, at least fear the Lord above…’
‘Why? You could be perfectly capable of something like this…’ he brushes his hair in frustration, while she continues bitterly ‘Who knows, you could be orchestrating this entire ploy… acting like a gentleman in front of us and then letting that robber escape purposefully… who knows, you could have joined hands with your mama mami and had the papers stolen too’
Feeling humiliated by her insinuations, he shouts back ‘Oh if thats the case…then just like how I could be doing all this to trouble you, you could be doing all this to entrap me too!’
‘Shut up!’ she retorts ‘I’m not as depraved as you to carry out such deeds to get revenge…’
He nods his head ‘I wholly understand you…you and your thoughts…I’ve burned my hands dealing with you and now I get it all…I’ve endured a lot and don’t intend to endure any further!’
Saying so, he exits the room in a huff!

Watching him tread off, Sanchi is not able to discern if Indu Singh was speaking the truth or not – seeing how he was capable of saying something and doing another!

Having stormed out into the corridor in rage, Indu curses the judge for having forced him to put up with such an annoying girl! ‘Even if I want to do good to her, she always thinks ill of me…’ he ponders to himself angrily ‘Fine Sanchi Mathur ji…search all over this world, but you would never find another person like Indu Singh!’

The pandey house
Abhimanyu takes special efforts in decking up for his daily campus visits. Roop asks him the reason for doing so, but he taunts her in return – stating how she dressed so poorly. He ridicules her that he’d end up bringing home a stylish daughter-in-law, but that she’d remain a spinster for life. She suspects foul play and decides to get to the root of the matter.

The university
Mehek voices her frank thoughts to Sanchi (which appear far more sensible than Sanchi’s notions these days anyway) She suggests that Sada, Radha, Sobha and Roop – any of these could be the thieves – but, Indu Singh seemed innocent in all this.
However, Sanchi is irked – why was everyone in all praise for the ‘noble’ man suddenly! ‘If he had no hand to play in this, why did he let the thief escape?’ she argues

Just then, the girls’ discussions are brought to an abrupt halt when they notice Professor Shukla strut into the campus. The friends are shocked! They wonder how he could’ve been granted bail so easily seeing that one of the crimes he was accused of committing was ‘attempted murder’

In the meanwhile, shukla starts adressing a growing assembly of students – telling them how he was found innocent of all the crimes he’d been accused of. Apparenlty, the court could find no incriminatory evidence against him and hence he was granted bail. He reminds them how he’d begged and cried about his innocence, but that none showed any support. He vows that now that he was back, he’d avenge all the people who’d conspired against him.
Sanchi and Mehek are on the terrace, listening to all the lies that the villainous professor was spewing out. The feisty girl grows enraged that Shukla was publicly goading about his innocence when in reality he was the culprit. She is also intrigued – who could have helped him get out of jail so easily?

This mystery is solved a few seconds later when Abhimanyu steps forward and lets the girls know that Sadanand Tiwari was responsible for granting the man his bail.
As usual, the paranoid Sanchi suspects that Abhimanyu must have a hidden reason for helping them out in such manner, time and again. She even blames him for plotting to steal the property papers from her house the previous night. However, he protests his innocence stating that he’d only come along to stop his mother and Roop from comitting the dastardly deed.
He then goes on to reveal the results of his investigations ‘Yesterday, I overheard Sadanand telling his mistress that he was going to bail out Shukla’
He then proves his point by removing the photos of Sada-Rubina from his pocket and shows them to Sanchi, telling her it was his way of atoning for his mother’s sins (lol the dramebaaz!) He even promises them any help in future if they needed.

A short while after perusing through the snaps Mehek warns Sanchi, asking her to be very careful. Now that Shukla was now out of jail, he’d be thirsting for revenge against her!
However, Sanchi replies that she’d never fear the two rascals – Sada or Shukla, since truth is the only eternal victor!

Precap
Rajjo comes running to Indu, who’s seated in the canteen wearing a handsome black kurta. The exasperated man then tells Indu about Shukla’s release.
Sanchi who’s seated in the adjacent table interrupts their conversation on a very caustic note ‘People seem to be giving out stale news these days…Shukla had come to the campus and has vowed revenge against all those who sent him to jail…how strange – while the nephew sends the culprit to jail, his uncle plays a hand in bringing him out!’
A not-very-pleased Indu stares at the girl and her arrogant remarks!

Sanchi is now becoming overbearingly irritating and absolutely idiotic. This episode is now dragging and boring.
