Rukhsar Rehman goes through a personal loss with her father passing away

Talented actress Rukhsar Rehman who was last seen in Sony Entertainment Television’s Kuch Toh Log Kahenge recently went through a personal loss when her father Lateefur Rehman Khan passed away on 20 February 2013.

Talking about the tragedy, Rukhsar told us, “It was a sudden death. My dad who was an IAS officer, aged 73 was not ill. The whole thing happened in 15 minutes.”

Rukhsar who has faced few more personal tragedies of late with the passing away of her grandfather and mother expressed, “Having parents around is the best thing that can happen to anyone. Losing both of them is a big blow.”
She went on to add, “I have just got back from my home town after my dad expired. I plan to resume work soon. I have got an ad campaign to shoot. Initially, I thought of postponing it as I was not in a proper mental state, but then I decided to go ahead with it as work will help me come out of depression.”

After Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, Rukhsar has been offered a couple of TV offers. On her future plans, Rukhsar stated, “I have been offered a positive role and also a glamorous negative avatar. Luckily, I do not have to decide immediately as the launch of these shows is on hold at the moment. I can take a call on it once the shock of my dad not being there wears off.”
