Star Plus’ Mahabharat completes 200 episodes

The magnum opus show Mahabharat produced by Swastik Productions on Star Plus has been a game changer when it comes to mythological shows on Indian TV. Shot extensively with high end technology it has given viewers a never seen before experience.

And today (30 May) the show completed airing of 200 successful episodes. The cast and crew got together and celebrated the achievement with a cake cutting and a small get together on the sets at Umergaon.

Talking on the show Thakur Anoop Singh who plays Dritharashtra says, “Well the show has gained immense popularity and that had made the channel give it an extension from its decided time period. Also not just in India but people around the world watch our show. Recently international media too had dropped in the sets to cover the show; that proves how popular Mahabharat is across countries. The show although has been a tough journey it has given everyone of us a lot of recognition and I am sure each character will be remembered for long.”
