Broker is showing the chawl to Mane family. Varun and Ajji are reminded of their past. Ajji asks the broker to show them some other place. He says this is a good place for the entire family. She tells him not to act like an agent which offends him a little. I am the manager of this entire area. I, Chiman Rao, manage everything. What’s the problem? Ajji asks him to show some other place but Tara likes the place. Let’s finalise it. Ajji tells her to be quiet. Chiman says you will have to wait for 15 days or more if you want another place. Varun is also hesitant but Ajji reasons that they have no other option. She tells Chiman to show the house.

Mane family is walking past their old house when Radhika asks him if they will stay here. He calls the house inauspicious. The guy who stayed

here got stuck in some mess and got ruined. This house is closed since then. No one even looks at this house. Everyone believes that this house brings destruction. Mumbai is like that only. Ajji tells him to stop. Who knows what that poor guy would have lost? It is time which is bad. People aren’t bad. Chiman tells her to stay away from this house. This has been locked since 15 years. Tara asks for the name of that guy. Chiman can only recall that it begins from letter S. Radhika feels connected with the place. Tara says you must have stayed here in your last birth. Ajji asks Chiman to show them the house. Chiman takes them upstairs. Tara looks at the drawing of Ma Saraswati on the wall. It looks familiar.
Sachin draws Ma Saraswati on the new dance board. This board has been put again because of Radhika. It wont come down now. Only Kathak will be practiced here.

Chiman shows the house to Mane family. Radhika says our bathroom is bigger than this house in Satara. He agrees. This place is no less than palace in Mumbai. He points at the holy sites on the 3 sides. Ajji jokes that there is heaven above. Stop acting like an agent. He reminds her he is the manager. Let me know once you like it. Salim asks Chiman for flowers. We need it for aarti. Chiman says they will come. Arjun threatens him that they will beat both him and dhol if flowers wont come before aarti. Chiman agrees. Bring lemon from your home. Arjun asks him if he does not know how to talk nicely anymore. Chiman calls him Arjun Bhai in low tone and requests him. Arjun and Salim go to bring lemon.

Tara loves the place whereas Radhika complains about the house. Elders discuss how and where they will arrange everything. Radhika asks them if they have finalized the place. Tara speaks positively. They fold hands in reverence. The beginning was good. Don’t let the past ruin the future of our kids. We lost everything in Mumbai. Hope we overcome everything this time.

Chiman quotes 10k for the house. Varun says it was Rs. 1200 15 years ago. Radhika asks him how he knows this. Chiman also asks him if he has stayed here in the past. Ajji denies. Tara finds Arjun arrogant. Varun finalizes the deal in 8k. Chiman asks for 1k as advance. Chinu, Varun and Ajji count their money. Varun pays Chiman Rs. 750. Ajji says it is shagun only. We will give you tip before leaving. He agrees. He asks everyone to come outside without luggage. He keeps lemon in the center of the door. Break the lemon and enter together. Elders ask Radhika to do it. Tara ends up stepping over it as she loses her balance. Arjun asks Chiman if his deal is done. Bring flowers. Chiman tells Ajji to give the money on time.

Priya tells Arjun she knows the journey is long but he will win. He says it isn’t so easy. She calls it a good field. Dance and earn. She is glad that he won. He points out that he only got selected. She cannot find a lemon. He shares that he gave it to the new tenants. She reprimands him for giving such an expensive thing. He says I gave it on loan. I will take it back. She tells him to take it or he will miss his morning dose of lemon water. I am making your favourite dish. Who is this family? Do you know them beforehand? She says I have seen this old woman before. I don’t remember where exactly but I am certain of it. Arjun’s friend comes to call him. Arjun goes with him. Priya does not realise that he has left and keeps talking.

Everyone gathers downstairs for puja. Varun tells Ajji that their fate has brought them back to this chawl. Why? She shrugs. Maybe the story dint complete back then. It will start once again. Maybe it was a snake who bit us back then. We might find a ladder this time. He says you mean hope. She smiles. We have nothing else. There is no point living without it. Maybe our daughter will fulfil our dreams.
