I cried on the last day of shooting for Parichay: Keerti Nagpure

Come 15 March 2013 and Balaji Telefilms’ Parichay will bid adieu to its audiences.

Last Friday (8 March 2013) was indeed an emotional moment for the cast and crew of the show as they shot for the last episode.

As a matter of fact, actress Keerti Nagpure who made her TV debut as Siddhi in Parichay even ended up crying on the sets. “It was a very emotional moment as I knew that I wouldn’t be shooting with my cast and crew anymore. However, I was very close to Samir (Soni) so, when I knew that he had packed up a day before, it emotionally drained me. So, I couldn’t help but cry,” avers Keerti.

Talking about her bonding with her cast and crew she reveals, “I and Aarti (Singh) always considered the Parichay unit as our real family. We called our Maa (Alka Amin) and Papa (Vivek Mishraa) from the show, ‘Maa’ and ‘Papa’ even when we weren’t shooting. In fact, post my accident, everybody cared for me a lot.”

“Aarti would always get lunch for me while my mother, on the show, would get breakfast for me. That is the kind of love we shared with each other. Naturally, the last day wasn’t that easy for us. I am looking forward to the next season. I just hope something works around that.”

What’s the actress planning to do next? “I am planning to go to Shani Shingnapur with my parents as I am a shani bhakt (devotee),” she quips. What about taking up TV shows? “I had joined Parichay as Keerti but today people know me as Siddhi. So, if I am offered something like my role in Parichay I’d definitely take it up,” Keerti observes.

We wish you luck Keerti!
